Anyone have luck ranking .info ??

I've got a .info EMD for a locale nich which is med/high seo comp. But it's a very profitable nich so I'm temped to give er a run.

Anybody have success with info's

3/4 of my .info EMD are ranking on 1st page of google but not first spot.

I have but it is an uphill battle. To be honest if my keyword was "blue widgets" I would rather have greatbluewidgets.com instead of bluewidgets.info. Matt Cutts has pretty much admitted that Google views .info as a spammy extension and it is much harder to rank a .info.

Yeah, totally agree with this. Im ranking some sites in the UK and my .co.uk domains usually hit the number 1 spot, but i seem to struggle with other .info or .org.uk domains.
I think .biz or .org would even be better than .info

Yes, I have experience in ranking .info domain. I have ranked a .info domain in just 7 days on 1st page. PM for more details..

1st page is easy to target with EMD .info domain but .com is always better than .info.

So Don't expect top spot with info domain..

Take away the luck and replace it with expertise.

When it comes to ranking, there is no question of luck.

Yeah, it may take a while to rank certain types of keywords
but ranking is a site is not based on luck.

Info and EDM are very good for ranking just like .COM.
You just need to build quality links and unique content..

3 years ago I had about 10 .info's trying to rank, they went nowhere fast.

I haven't use .info since then, maybe they're easier to rank now but I doubt it. YMMV.

I have 3 .infos currently, they're all EMDs and two of them are #1. Last one is about a month old so not yet ranked.
I didn't have much extra effort ranking them compared to an average difficulty .com but I can say that my conversion rate for that site is waaaaaaaaay lower..
Definitely worth it to get a PMD com/net/org rather than an emd.info.

Just my 2cents.
