Outbound mass email software to compliment an email harvester?

There was a very interesting and informative thread regarding email harvesters. I had some questions about email programs to use with the data collected and thought it would be better to start a new thread. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1. What mass outbound email system is easiest, cheapest and most complimentary to an email harvester for certain keywords.

2. As long as there is an opt out option in the recipients email is it fairly safe to send?

3. Are there any other regulations I would need to know about that pertain to sending out harvested emails to potential leads?

We have thought about using this type of lead generating system for awhile now to hopefully trigger someone interested in selling a used car to our company. We've tried Google Adwords campaigns and that's just too expensive. We use sell my car, junk my car, cars for cash, etc type keywords so any ideas on obtaining emails from prospective sellers would be appreciated. Thanks

It sounds like you are looking for an all-in-one combination. Look into Atomic Mail Studio. It allows you to scrape emails based on keywords, remove bad email, and send. And a bunch of other things.

You will need to use proxies or SMTP accounts to mail with. BUt you can create a few shared hosting accounts, create SMTP, load them into AMS, and send them.

You are going to have a very hard time gathering a targeted list. I'm not even sure one exists. For certain, this is not the group I would be going after. I just hope there is money in it otherwise you are spinning your wheels and wasting time.

Is it for a local business or national? What are your customer demographics?

Mass Mailers aren't complimentary or biased towards an email harvestor. They simply mass mail. Simply plug in your email list. There are several out there but I would advise your follow CoyoteAssassin's suggestion.

This depends where you're mailing. If you're referring to the guidelines established by the Can-Spam Act then you should probably refer directly to their website as opposed to asking users here: http://business.ftc.gov/documents/bus61-can-spam-act-compliance-guide-business/

You should be mindful of the fact that this is an 'American' law. Other countries may have other laws that may have more severe guidelines - if any at all.

Continuing from my last response - different countries have different laws. Are you mailing to users in the USA only? If so, how do you know your email list is 100% American?

We are a national company. I'm basically looking for leads (someone who searched or filled out a form online to sell a car) to introduce our site. As far as demographics go... it's anyone who wants to sell a car or recreational related vehicle. Thanks for your information and for taking the time to reply.

Maybe you do not understand what demographics are. If you are going to be successful in IM, you need to learn this. To say that because you sell hats, everyone with a head is your demographics is setting yourself up for frustration and possible failure.

I'll try to help.

What are the characteristics of people who would sell their call or recreational vehicle online? Mostly men.
What age? Doubt many below 25 or above 60 are using online.
Who uses the internet more for this type of activity? White, Blacks, Mexican's?
Which income range, poor, middle, right? Most likely someone with annual income between 30-70k.
Are these people who are single or married? Could be both but I'm going with married.
Why are they selling their car. Do they have an additional car or do they want to buy a new one.
What month are they most likely born in. Maybe February. Kidding.

But you get the idea.

Then... once you get your demographics, find out if there is a related industry/list that covers the segments above and market to them.

If this type of list existed, you could use it but since it does not, you need to take this approach.

haha @ the birth month comment. In this case though, I don't think the demographics are that important though. What I really need is contact information for someone who, at one point, searched or requested information using any related keywords such as sell my car, junk my car, etc. Not looking for the type of buy that I would be competing with a car dealership on, which then demographics would certainly play a major role in. I'm not discounting your theory though... more information is always good but in this email campaign if the person searched for that term or needed that service, that's all I'm looking for. Then you need a squeeze page and lead magnet.

Otger than that, your next best thing is finding the demographics or doing a big ad campaign. Still, they does not generate an email list.
