Dear site owner or webmaster of xxxx site,
We've detected that some of your site's pages may be using techniques that are outside Google's Webmaster Guidelines.
Specifically, look for possibly artificial or unnatural links pointing to your site that could be intended to manipulate PageRank. Examples of unnatural linking could include buying links to pass PageRank or participating in link schemes.
We encourage you to make changes to your site so that it meets our quality guidelines. Once you've made these changes, please submit your site for reconsideration in Google's search results.
If you find unnatural links to your site that you are unable to control or remove, please provide the details in your reconsideration request.
If you have any questions about how to resolve this issue, please see our Webmaster Help Forum for support.

Sincerely,
Google Search Quality Team

Anyone encountered this type of message and has an experienced? Although our sites are still in the number 1 spot, we're worried that in the next day, our sites will be penalize and de-rank.

You are in the cross hairs now so you have to get rid of the rogue links or awaiting you is SLAP

what kind of links? we didn't purchased any links in these sites

For the first time, I read a complaint like this on BHW. It is unfortunate that those websites don't adhere to Google standards. Google's high standards have to be followed. Otherwise, their reputation will be tarnished.

Are there any ways that we can asked a sample of links for big G for unnatural links since we didn't paid any links that we got so far.

maybe your competitor do it for you for free.. they blast your site in biggest size of scrapebox comment blast, like they blast 300k direct to your site in a day. if that's happened, you can not do anything except watch google throw you away.

just got something similar

no idea what the problem is as they've not told me anything else. anyone got any ideas?

this is why google needs to stop this madness. innocent website owners are getting penalized without doing anything wrong.

If they actually said what the problem was i could maybe fix it now as it is i've completely lost!

Edit: a second one has come up and its from a site that is links to the first site. I've removed that link.

Are you not allowed to link one of your sites from another site?

and another site gets hit...

The only thing they have in common is i am using the transposh plugin to create translated versions of my site. I suspect that they may be seeing pages that are not translated from english yet and may be seeing "duplicate content" within my site :(

i dont think it is a duplicate content issue but possibly because you are linking to "bad neighbourhoods" (not your intention though). Someone could have negative seod your site if you are outranking your competition. Check your backlink profile for any links that you have not created and if you see any that is usually a sign that your site was blasted. As for removing links it is very very difficult. If you want some help send me a pm with your site and I will check out what the problem is.

But the ban neighbourhood backlinks message includes info that there are dodgy backlinks

mine said nothing about what the problems were.

Stop using google webmaster tools and analytics and the problem becomes less likely. The whole state of their new "backlink checking" system is complete nazi trash, and if a competitor can do this to any site there is no real escape, but there is not much anyone can do until they stop their little campaign of fascist control.

when ever you are targeting some keyword, you should check for competitor constantly .if you check him thoroughly you wouldn't have got the problem. If you are really honest ,you should report that your competitor did this

I'm worried about getting it. I have yet to find any solid link-building tactics and when a backlink is one too much.

in order to get rid of this message (and penalty) you will need to clean up your backlinks and get rid of the blatantly bad ones. otherwise your site will get hit hard (ask how i know), building more links isnt the answer to unnatural link warning.

there are people talking about linkdelete.com in my other thread, they suggest them for removing this warning and penalty.

you could try and manage teh process yourself but its gonna take a lot of time.

I don't think this has anything to do with backlinks as the sites in question don't have any bad backlinks showing up. 1 is whitehat and 1 is blackhat the only thing in common is using transposh with a huge number of duplicate pages where it has yet to auto translate the post.

i.e. blah.com/how to do something
blah.com/fr/how to do something
blah.com/ru/how to do something

where some of the posts are translated and some aren't

TheLinkGuy:
Are you in anyway affiliated with linkdelete.com? just asking since youve been plugging away about them for in quite a few posts..
