Just bought a dedicated seedbox.. [MY FIRST JOURNAL]

Hey BHW,

I thought it was time for me to finally take some action, I was reading some more about earning money with torrents, and I thought that I would be able to earn some money with that stuff myself.

A couple of days ago was the first time i EVER completed a survey, because I downloaded quite a big movie and didn't want to download it again.
The password to the zip file was to long for me to crack ( yes I tried cracking it before completing the survey.. ).

And thats when it hit me.. If you upload good torrents, people are willing to do some effort to unlock the files.

I bought a seedbox that is on a 100mbps dedicated line ( I get full access ).

I will just let it download some movies etc tonight, and tomorrow I will repack the movies and lock them with a password.

Than I will upload the password to one of my shitcash like sites, and hope that people will download it.

Of course, as a software developer I am quite lazy.. So I will be developing some software to blast the torrent file to multiple torrent sites at once.

Paid $40 for this box, for the first month. I hope that by the end of this month I have at least doubled the money so I can pay for the next one.

Anyone has any tips or tricks on earning more money with torrents than my current plan?

Best prices I've found, and regularly max the 100mbps line for hours straight. They set you up with ruTorrent so you can access it via URL. Access is provided for SSH/SFTP so if you ever download to your computer your ISP won't know its from torrents. Support is great and is one of the most recommended on a private torrent site with ~50k members IIRC.


Making money with torrents themselves is hard. Sites take down passworded files very quick. You may have a better chance of finding a program to password lock the program itself? Alot don't download zipped/rared files because of passwords.

I dont over pay, this is a dedicated box. Not shared.

They had cheaper ones for just $8. But that than I had to share the line with 8/10 other people plus a lot of limitations.

Now I can use VNC to connect to the box, and rezip the files.

Also I have my own techniques to prevent the detection of password protection.

Is it a dedicated line? Some providers provide a dedicated box, but the network itself is still shared similar to a VPS. This is more prelevent on 1gb/2gb/5gb/10gb lines but still sometimes on 100mbps.

i can get you a dedi with seedbox with 1Tb HD and 2Gb Ram for 20eur so 40 bucks its expensive imo
