Need Help For E Commerce Website !!!!!

Hi Friends,

I need help to make an e commerce website. I may have only 20 products so far but need to create nice website...I have seen lots of wordpress themes for 35$ but i need more than one website so that makes it very expensive.. Also how about wp e commerce plugin ? is that good ...I have also seen magento, insterspire , etc but confused which is good.

So guys please help me out to get cheapest way to make nice e commerce website...

it depends really.. if you don't have a lot of products, you can go with wp... on the other hand, if you would like to have more options for the store, then you should look into something like tomato cart or ecommerce. wp will give you info on the orders, but i believe a commerce script would give you more details

thanks bleumunkigraphics but that all add up costs....what about open cart ...Is that free as it doesn't say anything about price on their website..

If you want to stick with Wordpress e-commerce is a free way to go but it has it's limitations. Woocommerce and Cart66 have pretty interesting solutions but it really depends on how the site(s) will evolve. If you are expecting to sell much more then 20 items say 50-100+ I would look into a more serious solution like open-cart or magenta. You can pick up some pretty awesome themes for these platforms and be up and running in no time.

Your best bet is use interspire shopping cart or magento. You can search interspire and lot of magento themes in the downloads section.

go with shopperpress theme.... one time buy and you can use it with as many website as you want....
very easy to customize....
i am currently using it with 4 websites and very happy with the results....

Magento offers the best up selling IMO, + Magento is clean and has the feel of ecommerce where i feel wordpress lacks most of the time.

You could go with Magento CE, and then have someone customize the free Modern theme for a couple hundred bucks.

I have more than 100 products in my store but it isn't run on wordpress. Do your store by hand so you have total control. It's not as hard as you think it is. You can also get a nice WYSIWYG web utility program at demonoid if you don't have enough confidence to hand code.

Do it right and use a script like magento, opencart, or zencart.

Themes can run you $65-$150 (and up for custom) but it is better to set yourself up with something you are happy with, than to have to change it later on. Changing layouts/scripts will cost you big time with search engine rankings when running a ecommerce site, so do it right the first time.

FYI, I have experienced with Cart66, WP e-commerce, and WooCommere. In my opnion, there's still no perfect solution for e-commerce in WordPress, every plugin or theme has its own problems that will make you pull your hairs out when things are not working. If you don't want to spend a lot of time fixing stuff then it's best to avoid WordPress route.

Hi there! I have a store with more than 1500 items running on Magento for about 6yrs now and I can tell you it is awesome. It is easy to install, pretty stable; the only draw back is that is a resource hog it is pretty heavy on the server side. And about themes for Magento you can find tons of them for free and pretty attractive. Let me know if you need help!!
