Anyone seeing keyword ranking recovery yet?
I am back to about 60% of my traffic levels before penguin.
(and remember i did nothing!).
I do have a bunch of unique articles and seo services from bhw ordered and ready to go ahead when i say so.
(which should be in a weeks time if i see i don't get back to at least 80% of what it was at before traffic-wise).

My site got slapped on March 11. The homepage (where most of links lead) has gone from page 1 to page 5, then to page 3, and then out of first 1000. Internal landing pages now take the same course. All money keywords are gone. Link removal didn't help. New links seemed to have a negative effect. After almost 3 month no keyword ranking recovery has taken place.

i didn't try and remove or modify any backlinks...too big of a job that would of taken forever and probably would not have gotten too many links removed anyways.

I had my blog removed after a similar message. And no i didn't click on my own links

I did nothing, as I received this warning message, for site that has 0 links, registered only 2 weeks ago, installed webmaster tools, added no content and still received this message - "unatural links..."
Sweeeet. Sorry, bro, but that's just so stupid of Google :stupido3:

Yes I remove them as soon as I read the e-mail, and I send back a confirmation. They are almost begging me. Some just want the anchor text changed, but mostly want the link completely removed.
I don't believe in removing the links unless it is real easy. Most of the time it will not make a difference even when the links are removed. I would say if it is easy for you to do remove them. If it going to take weeks or even months, build more links or move on to another domain.

I removed my website from my profile on all my forum accounts, because xrumer creates forum profile links, and xrumer is a spam tool, so I'm sure I'm sending a clear message to everyone at Google that I respect The Penguin and for that matter all the other members of the Legion of Doom.

I believe the whole "bad backlinks" scare is propaganda spread by Google and some people took the bait and freaked. Because, if spammy links were going to penalize any site, it seems to me all I would have to do is break out Scrapebox and blast all my competitors websites with thousands of spammy links...
I'm thinking spammy links just don't help anymore but I don't believe it penalizes your site rankings. What do you think?

Google telling you to remove your links is borderline sinister if you ask me. They know how time-consuming a process that is, and I would bet my house that it doesn't make a shred of difference. It's just their way of getting you to self-report. Shady, but damn it has the IM world by the balls because tons of people are doing it.

For the potential clients that come to us crying "The sky is falling!", I advise them to let us build them a new site, 301 their old site and set them up with a well planned White Hat SEO (And any other upsels that fit their needs) rather than the 5er services they used before. And of course at the end of it they are saying "Thank you!" I love Google (at times).

Well the day the blast went out my site dropped. It was on June 8th and coincidentally there was a Panda update that day as well. So I couldn't be 100% sure the wiki links caused it but I had a feeling. Paid like $15 for the blast, and $100 for the cleanup. Lesson learned!
