Paypal Non-Citizen Passport

Hi guys, my problem is this; I'm not a UK citizen, but I'm currently living in the UK, I also have a bank account and a permanent address there, I was able to verify my UK Paypal account easily using my bank account; however, there is still an annual receiving limit set.

To lift that, I was told that I need to provide them with a proof of address + identity. I can send my bank statement which should prove my UK address, but my passport is not a British passport (and it's not in one of their supported countries). So I'm wondering if this would be a problem; should I send it or not? I wouldn't want them to limit my account.

I've seen mixed answers to this online; some say that nationality doesn't matter, as long as I'm living in the country + financial info + address; others say that I will get immediately banned. I really don't know what to do. Would appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

Have you got a provisional drivers licence? If so try provide that.

Honesty is the best policy.
Explain to them your situation.
If you have entry information as well supply that and give them more then they ask for.

Unfortunately, paypal is notorious

a) to not even read your requests and never seriously answer your questions. All they do is send you computer generated answers that do not help at all

b) take unfair advantage of what you say to requalify you

Eventhough you look be very good faith, I would not contact them.

Just a personal opinion of course, but sustained by many bad experiences with paypal help requests

I don't want to contact them since there is a good chance that they would limit my account. From the feedback I read online, they don't exactly appear to be
the kind of people who reward honesty.

Guys, I'm sure at least one person reading this had been in a similar situation and dealt with this, please don't hesitate to share your experience...

If they ban your account due to the fact that you're the citizen of an "un-supported country" then you can take them to the court for racial discrimination.

While they can (and do) restrict the usage of their services for residents of certain countries, they can't impose any restrictions based on your citizenship.
