QUANTITY vs QUALITY?

what do you think? Having a hq video with good information, likes, comments or a video there are 1000's of with no likes, comments and almost no views?I'd say quality, but quantity have made me some nice $$ aswell.Just try it out and see what converts best, add subids and track

I like to think of it in the form of a tower defense game.
You can have a ton of basic towers that will get you through the first handful of rounds easy, then you will be overrun and die a horrible, bloody, painful death.
Or you can invest in a handful of towers, and work on upgrading them and improving their quality rather than buying as many basic towers as you can. The stronger towers allow you to march your way to victory!

It depends what you want. Do you want subscribers, decent feedback and have the time to produce and promote each video. If yes, then quality is the best option, otherwise, quantity is the best option.
Quality involves time, quantity does not. Quantity just requires you to upload random videos and to me, is MUCH HARDER to gain traffic than quality.

The problem is YouTube isn't tower defense. 100,000 videos will get recognized more often than 1 video (assuming you don't have a pre existing fan base and the video isn't gonna go viral)

It depends what you are looking for. I've made a nice chunk of change massing videos and used the revenue from that to produce higher quality content but at a slower rate. But now, my higher quality content is allowing me to produce more and more content a bit faster every time to the point where i can almost make what i made massing videos.
But maybe you don't want to build a fan base and don't enjoy making quality videos. I just rather do what i enjoy the most.

what do you mean? quality of the video or quality of the seo ?
IMO medium quality with proof + spun 50+ times and seo on all of the them is the winner on YouTube.

Oh I wasn't speaking personally. I have several quality channels that have it's own fan base and several quantity channels that are doing pretty well too. If you can manage to do both then you will rake in profits like Justin Bieber in a strip club.
I find that having around 1500 videos uploaded per month is a nice balance.
Edit: Also, either route you take, make sure the content is monetized. kills two birds 1 stone.

i have 2 months ago run a test on something similar to this topic:
Test 1:
150 videos no views, likes, favs or comments at all (other than the ones that actualy enter on the video)
google shortner (to track the visits)
Test 2:
10 videos with around 5000 views each ,likes, favs and comments
google shortner (to track the visits)
On "Test 1" i get around 5- 10 views per day, if that much.
On "Test 2" i get around 30 to 40 vists per day
So in this case, quality won.
I would say invest a bit on both, mass upload shit loads of videos and try to work on some of them closely

Quality work can save you a lot of time and money because you don't need a massive amount of accounts and it should also take you just a few minutes per day for each video you have uploaded, which I find easier than configuring all the bots to download&upload videos.
I have tried mass uploading and, of course, I made some good money, but when I manually checked all the videos only a few of them were making me money! 3 out of hundreds of uploaded videos were responsible for 90% income.
Usually quality videos are the ones that stay on YouTube for a long time (5 months+) and that's where the real passive income is!

If you'd asked me this question years ago I'd have said quality, absolutely and with hesitation. Since YT no longer recognizes or cares about quality, I have to go with quantity.
Perhaps unlike some here, I didn't start my YT channel as a pure money making venture. Almost the opposite. I started it to make tutorial and instructional vidz on what can be a relatively complex and in-depth subject. I'd bust my ass filming ... getting just the right footage, finding all the right audio tracks, sounds and sounds effect, when and where needed. Creating images and graphics in Photoshop or Illustrator, and getting the proper still photos, all to enhance the videos and make them more understandable for n00bs in the area in which I specialize. I'd do my research, make notes, etc. Then I'd spend hours (sometimes days) in front of a NLE (video editor) cutting, splicing and melding this video together perfectly.
That was almost 3 years ago, and yes I did get a lot of views. Nowadays those kinds of videos seem to slip through the cracks, going largely unnoticed in favor of videos like the ones put out by that retard, Fred. Or videos of squirrels or gerbils running in hamster wheels, scaring grandma or the girlfriend, or doing other stupid things. So yeah it's probably better to upload 10 mediocre videos than to upload one high-quality video that you've put a lot of work into (whether it was your own or not).
