GSA Search Engine Ranker - Extremely Powerful Linkbuilding Software (Free 5 Day Trial)

My Name,

We've just been made aware that your server located at [IP Address] has been abusing our network.

We don't limit or monitor your activity, so the fact that our DataCenter has nullrouted your IP for abuse
is quite concerning. Are you blasting Xrumer without proxies? We have plenty of customers who run
such tools fine, but proxies are a MUST.

I need you to reply to this within 8 hours with a full explanation of this issue and your acknowledgement
that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated on our network. Your VPS's IP has been nullrouted due to
the seriousness of your offence.

Upon receipt of your acknowledgement we will reset you up on a new DC's network which is a bit more
tolerant for abuse complaints, if your abusive activity continues the only other option we will have is to
migrate you to one of our Offshore, Bulletproof hosts. There will be an extra charge for this as they don't
come cheap to us either. However, if you forsee a series of issues we'd be more than happy to migrate you
to our offshores sooner rather than later, just let us know what you'd like to do.

Please review the following Abuse complaint which was forwarded to us and acknowledge the terms I've
mentioned here, then let me know how you'd like to proceed with your service. My apologies for any
inconveniences this may cause you. However, you must understand that when we get abuse compleints
... it's normally something serious. And we've got to do what we've got to do to protect the integrity of
our network.

At first I thought, I might have accidentally had my proxies turned off, but then I looked at the complaint and it was for testing a proxy server.
It looks like a honey pot automatically complaining on people testing proxies.

In other words, my VPS shut me down for testing a proxy. Is my luck really that bad?

I've never heard of anything like this happening before. I must be the only person this has ever happened to.

Looks like I should have gone with the private proxies instead.

Djinn any chance you can edit your post and deleted the ton of crap in it??

i noticed after updating to 3.42 recently i was getting lots of download failed errors and after checking have found that the update seems to have reset the find new proxy sites back to the default 4 only, so if anyone else is using the public proxy scraper and not getting many new proxies, u may want to check the add/edit proxy sites section ;)

There should be a default project setup so whenever you create a new one it already has these settings ready to go. Link types and all filters and search engine settings should be included.
Thing is different users will have different settings depending on their requirements and system setup, so it may be better to create something like a default template that's
more specific to your needs.

Just create a template project with all your default settings.
In the Project window, select the project: RMC > Modify Project > Backup. This will back up the settings to e.g. default.ser.
Then, when creating a new project just import the default template using: RMC > Modify Project > Restore.

Can you make possible Mouse Scroll, when you are in Data Field, its kinda annoying now

I think this would really slow the software down, as it would potentially need to check through 1000's of malaware URL's multiple times.

We can only speculate. But I don't think this takes much time (far below 1s). Otherwise "processed sites" would slow down everything too a lot (this file is much larger). If this wouldn't faster, then SER would try to failed websites again and again.
Another possibility would be to keep this list in RAM to search trough it very fast. But these kind of answers can only give us Sven. In my experience as sw developer this would speed up verfied submissions. There is also no NASA technology needed, only a simple list with domains/urls ;) But thats my personal opinion.

To remove all keywords:
Goto: Project Data > Data > Keywords
Right Mouse Click > Select All > Cut
Ok the Data dialog.

Then just add/import keywords as required. :D

Unless I've missed something, there is no "clear" option in the Keywords or Keyword Tools section.

Thanks for your answer. S4nt0s already answered this, but as I said, some keywords still stay in list when you go into the keyword too. This isn't really important, just a little glitch.

I'm certainly not interested in GSA processing 80+k of urls each and everytime its tries to post. You can add this feature yourself by importing the blocked url's, I don't think the rest of us should suffer!!

I miss some logic arguments against it (explain me for example why a lot larger list is used for blocking already failed urls if this hurts performance - this wouldn't make any sense). As far as I can see these are only speculations (including my own ones of course).

And no I can't just import my own blacklist (as I said already), because the GUI crashes then (this is also a problem with large keyword lists). I think the only performance issue is displaying it on the GUI - not processing it!

S4nt0s, can you please ask Sven if this is this kind of bad for the performance? I think further discussions on this specific topic are senseless because we all really don't know. And I really don't get why you all are so much against it, even such possibilities were always included as OPTION - nobody is forced to use it.

pmsl

kind of says it all really doesn't it and yes I concur this is definatley senseless...!!!

GUI != (not equal) processing files in background without displaying it.

Do a simple test yourself: If you to a search/replace (in a not optimized editor like notepad) in a very large textfile and display it, THIS takes a lot resources and is slow. When you doing it without displaying it (sometimes only minimizing a window makes the deal), it could be damn fast.

I've only replied because I don't want to look like an idiot because you don't get the difference between GUI and background logic. But that was definitely my last word in this case.. ;)

when is gonna be the next price update. Or are you gonna shift to a monthly subscription service? Just wondering that coz all succesful link building softwares went that route.

seems we now have the option to slow submissions down as requested!! not sure i'm too happy with that one.

3.43 - new: option to check a submission url/domain against a online blacklist
- new: ability to import verified URLs to a project
with popupmenu on project->Show URLs->verified->popup menu on URLs->Import
- new: ability to use mouse wheel when editing projects
- new: ability to put projects in groups (use popup menu)
- new: improved some engines again
- new: gui improved a bit

Thats pretty strange. I 1st encountered blocklist.de a while back when moving from a slow but bulletproof server to a faster less tolerant one.
Though the complaint i received was a standard 'bad bot' one, from a wordpress honeypot (joy of f*cking joys! now i need proxies to spam aa lists FFS!).

That report is strange. Its mentions a login-attack and remote file inclusion attack.
My guess (and its only a guess) is that the proxy being tested is somehow a honeypot its self, and you hit it enough times to trigger a report.

This is pretty scary stuff to be honest.
Your host seems pretty cool with BH tools so i suggest telling them what you have been doing, and asking them about the report type.
Please share your results as well.

:))) Thanks for the notification.

@Sven (if you read this): Great implementation of the auto-updating of multiple malware/blacklists! THANKS! It's really amazing how fast you are.

How many verified links are you guys getting per day?
I have it posting to all platforms and there is no restrictions on where to post IE any PR, any OBL etc and am only getting around 10 links per project per day.

It depends how long the project is running, what keywords lists you use and what internet connection/hardware you have. It also depends of you are using AA lists and stuff like this or let harvest SER everything itself. With my setup after two weeks I'm generating about 100-200 links per project per day (PR 1+, max 100 OBL, all modules enabled, Corie i7 6 cores of it, 2GB Ram, 30 Mbit down/3Mbit up, SER harvesting only).

I still do 50 to 100 submissions per project each day submitted, confirmed is another story
But I noticed since the captcha alteration, captcha usage has halved over night
And Im running over fifty projects

And now for something called irony. Not to be confused with ironing which is womans work
Within 30 seconds of running gsa with the new update, I had a pop up from my virus software :)

I had more than 100 such alerts / day. But now there is something nice against it ;)

Databases are only as good as the data entered into them
Sites get infected / hacked all the time
Ask anyone that spent years trying to defeat attacks / scrapers etc etc
As an example, Cloudflare offers limited support from bad user agents, honeypot listed ips etc
You will never stop hitting the sites no matter how hard you try.
All the new feature does is offer a false hope to those that have a limited knowledge of the internet
You might just as well use the resources on submitting links
