How do i stop the program from verifying links, and only submit them? I thought it would be a case of unchecking 'verify submitted links' from within the 'options' tab, but it still seems to send links to the 'last verified urls' section on the right hand side of the program. I simply want to blast out links, not verify them.

You're right. It should not verify links if you uncheck "verify submitted links" in the project options menu. Did you have the project running and verifying links at first then you unchecked it later on or was it always set to not verify links? It could be the project hasn't reloaded yet with the changes.

I'm testing it out with a new campaign. If it still verifies the links I'll have to let Sven know about the bug.

Thanks for letting him know. The projects did initially have the option enabled, but i noticed it sometimes took ages to actually verify the links (sometimes hours), so would rather ignore that feature completely, and use that lost time in actually building backlinks.

Does anyone have an idea as to how GSA SER saves project information? I looked through the installed directory but didn't find anything in regards to project data, project setting, etc... any info? Check C:\documents and settings\[user]\application data\gsa search engine ranker\projects\ out. Please also consider using thread search function for such questions. It's already answered one page back in this thread.

excuse me for not searching. I did find the path and it is a little different then yours (C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\GSA Search Engine Ranker)
I just looked through the thread, (not using search though, programmers make everything harder then it needs to be...)and didn't find it, but i just started looking around the appdata folders until i found it. Thanks again for your quick reply.

This path looks like an XP path

This path looks like a Win 7 path

Or a little bit easier, just enter the system environment variable %APPDATA% (Windows button, write %APPDATA% and then press enter) and you application data directory opens directly.

I've had two emails from administrators today in reply to what are quite rude comments left by this software. Both were the same comment, and read like this:

"Hopefully the next time I read a blog, hopefully it won't disappoint me just as much as this particular one. After all, I know it was my choice to read, but I actually thought you would have something decent to talk about. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something you could possibly fix if you were not too busy looking for attention."

This isn't right!! How is this supposed to help the stick rate? Although it's better to have a few fairly well structured sentences instead of 'great blog', being abusive to the blogger takes the piss a bit.

Could you bring this to the attention of Sven, S4ntos? Or if someone could let me know how I can remove these types of comments from GSA?

just remove the ones you don't like from the comments in your project

Hey, ya that's definitely not a good comment. I try to tell people to write/use your own comments instead of the default comments that come built into the software. These are just there for "sample" text and can be used for 2nd and 3rd tiers if you want to set something up quick but I wouldn't use these as default comments if you're building links to your money site. I used these in the beginning for a while but I now come up with my own niche targeted or general comments.

You remove these type of comments by typing your own comments in the blog comments field. The default text is always there as "samples" to give you an idea of what you can come up with. Try to replace the default text with your own creative text if you want to have better stick rates, etc.

I updated to v 3.40 and after that whenever I start my projects, it just hangs and do nothing until I close GSA. What happened? I don't know where to find support so I wrote here. Thanks for any help.

You're right. It should not verify links if you uncheck "verify submitted links" in the project options menu. Did you have the project running and verifying links at first then you unchecked it later on or was it always set to not verify links? It could be the project hasn't reloaded yet with the changes. I'm testing it out with a new campaign. If it still verifies the links I'll have to let Sven know about the bug. edit: you're right I had it running for less then 1 minute and it already verified a link. I'll let Sven know.

i dont think it is actually verifying links, i think SER is smart enough to recognize previously posted links on that particular page and automatically adds them to the verified count
