I've been bringing in clients from all over, but really wanted to try teaching a seminar. Basically, I'll invite a ton of local businesses to attend for free, talk for 45 minutes or so, give them some awesome handouts, and close a few deals. Get a nice banquet room, some food, and make it look super professional. I want to structure it as more of a training session, where people would be able to run there own SEO from what I've talked about; but as with anything some will be more than happy to pay for it.

There was a program out (its still available), called 10K In A Weekend, but from what I can tell; it's mostly dated. It was about doing exactly what I talked about.

Does anyone know where I could buy a program that has the powerpoint and marketing materials ready? Or is anyone already doing this, that would be interested in selling their materials?

I bounce back between Buffalo, NY and Toronto, ON; so hopefully that means we aren't in competing markets.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. ~englandrm

It would be good if you record this, im sure people would like to see this

agree with this. many people can not travel to U.S and want to see this so pay for viewing online

Yes, I agree entirely. Basically teach it 1-3 times, and turn it into a webinar for my site. Then when people come, they can give me their email and watch it. It will be a passive form of converting.

Yeah, build email list .

can help you out with many things, im from Toronto as well. Had similar idea for the longest time. Willing to meet up and talk?

Highly recommend using an event/seminar planning firm. If your polished enough some will even market you for a cut :-) If not they are still well worth the price for making sure everything goes off without a hitch, all you need to worry about is your presentation.
