I am having the same problem. I upload images but it does not properly display them at all

So I uploaded this and have everything working, except when a picture is added, it adds it to the picture folder with the md5 as the filename, but the actual link points to title.jpg, so it never displays the picture on the main page, and when clicking the link it throws a 404 error. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I see this line of code in addposts.php, but not sure what would need to be changed, if anything. I'm sure it's something simple I'm overlooking.

i was having the same problem you need do download something call parse, go throw the post a member already post how to solve it. look on 2nd page ithink it worked for me.

Thanks for the reply. I've read through the entire thread several times now and didn't see anyone with the same problem as me. Everyone else is having problems with the ADMIN page being blank, mine is working fine and i can log in no problem. but, my site itself is a blank white screen with no error messages or anything. i didn't see anyone addressing this problem in any of the posts, just the blank admin page.

i just started with a fresh install. deleted the entire folder through ftp. uploaded all files to the server again in a new folder. changed all permissions. deleted all old databases and users and created new database, user, password. edited all files as outlined in the readme. double checked all info is correct. imported the db.sql file into phpmyadmin into the database i just created. when i go to my site, there is only a blank white screen. the login box on the admin panel is there, not having issues with that.

i don't know where i am having a problem, i believe i have followed everything to a T. i had this working fine last night, i just did everything i did then expect install wordpress.

if u upload it to a new folder u should edit the .htaccess file [check the read me file]
and also do this
1. Google for this file "Pager-2.4.8.tgz" and download it (I got the one from pkgs. fedoraproject. org)
2. unpack and rename directory to "Pager"
3. upload to the server....

so any fix that's working for the admin page problem ? i have renamed that pager z bla bla bla to Pager and uploaded it to my server but nothing happened , also tryed the other admin.php posted on page 1...

thanks, but I'm not installing it in a subfolder, just mydomain.com not mydomain.com/pictures. i tried changing the htaccess file just for the hell of it but no luck.

i tried the pager files but those also did not work for me. directory is renamed to Pager. no matter what, i'mstill only getting a black white screen in place of my site.

I've also encountered that problem, but here's a fix. Revert all the changes you made to metas.php. Try to keep everything simple and avoid using the argument '. $sitename'.

I made mine like this:

$maintitle = "Title Here";

$maindescription = "Description Here";

$mainkeywords = "Keywords, Here";

and it worked.

The concept looks interesting, maybe I will take the time to create a copycat site.

How do you the traffic though? Do you just buy an initial volley of likes and then it will go social? I have little experience with Facebook.

At least this is progress. Unless you have any suggestions, I'm going to try reinstalling everything again from scratch, without changing the metas.

Yeah I suggest you do that. It's possible that you've messed something else while trying to fix the blank page problem.

If it still isn't working, the problem might be on your host.

Should I upload the Pager folder to the same place where the files for the script are? (pubic html)??

Edit: Ok guys, I have put the "Pager" folder to the place where my files of the LOL script are, and now I am able to access the admin.php ) All fun!

Access the admin section then you can approve pending posts under the 'posts' tab. Change the status filter to 'pending.'

If you can't see the image at the main post but there is a thumbnail image for that post in the 'older-newer-random' box, you need to edit the watermark.php file to adjust the

$watermark_width
$watermark_height

variables to the dimensions of your watermark.jpg. If your watermark is not in the jpg format, you need to change their corresponding variables in that php file too.

As for the cron jobs, it is located in your cpanel.

Frankly, I don't know why your pictures won't show. Did all of your uploads turn like that?

Does the grabber have to run before pictures are shown? If yes, I think that's the case... My permissions are set to 777 at the ads.php, pictures and tmp folder. My database is connected correctly. The images are being uploaded to my server, I can see them when I'm in the file browser. But they just don't appear on the page at all, no matter what I upload. Would appreciate some help
