GSA Search Engine Ranker - Extremely Powerful Linkbuilding Software (Free 5 Day Trial)

Suggestion :)

Software is great, good job firstly.

My suggestion would be to add some kind of question captcha saving so it remember in the future and auto fills out the form. :)

It already does this. It remembers the answer to your captcha's and if it is successful it remembers the answer in case captcha is brought up again. It also has the answers to over 1500 of these questions built in + it solves basic math captcha's automatically.

why am i not surprised by this fact even though i have been using it for a while now and didn't know?

Well, i don't wanna sound pessimistic or anything, or sound like im slating the programme, sales thread, or anything else... i actually have this programme and am just about to let it rip, but it's been over a month now since the original gsa thread was started and i haven't seen any success stories so far, so i was just wondering if anyone's actually seen a rise in rankings as a result of using gsa search engine ranker or has it helped recover rankings post penguin?!

Are you asking if its necessary in order for the software to function properly then the answer is no. If you want to stay anonymous then yes definitely use proxies. I use proxies just for posting and its working great for me. As far as how many proxies that depends on how many threads you plan on using. Some services offer shared proxies that are only shared between 3 users so they are cheaper but work just as good.

Wow 3k/month? How many web 2.0's do you build each month?

I do a lot of web 2.0 among other things. But with the way web 2.0's have been ranking post panda. It's kinda hard not to use the crap outta em. That and Doc Sharing sites. I dunno Why they are ranking so well but they are.

I am guessing you suffer from some sort of selective blindness. I posted my successes in multiple posts in the other thread. I am nearing 1000 top 100 rankings, and am already at 188 page 1 rankings for keywords on my sites.

Ho ho ho quite the funny guy aren't we.. im guessing you don't know how to give a civil reply.

While a simple "I posted my successes im multiple posts in the other thread" would have done it seems you have an inferiority complex and so that's your problem not mine. Yes i should have spent the evening retrawling through all 20 odd pages over there, apologies and thanks for posting again anyway

I was asking was it best to buy proxies instead of using the built in proxy scraper. Right now I'm trying to decide between using GSA with a VPS and just scraping proxies or using it on my home computer with a proxy service. And don't say both.

I've been using GSA SER with CS and the GSA indexer for a little while now and love it, its really started to bring my sites out of the depths of no where land!

I was just wondering did this help you with Penguin? If so how were you able to use it to get out of the penalty?

I have a vm running on a machine at home and use buyproxies (check link in my sig) and very happy with it so far. in fact looking at setting another machine up at my girlfriends as i have a spare pc doing nothing and she has an internet connection used only for facebook and email!

Another suggestion: When the blacklist isn't too large it could be included (at google for example) in search strings and filter search results for example:
Code:
[search query and footprint] -intext:"comments are moderated" -intext:"comments are disabled"

Wouldn't this speed up the search process a little bit and lower bandwith usage?

I'm gonna have to say both. j/k. Of course using private or fast shared proxies are going to be better then using the built in public proxy scraper because it will build links faster with a higher success rate but if I had to pick between getting a VPS or proxies for me personally I'd get a VPS. It won't matter if you have the fastest proxies, etc if you have a VPS because you can just run it 24/7/365 and it will build links over time. A VPS or dedicated server is one of the best investments you can make if you're running automated software. (in my opinion)

One of the problems with this software, is its too easy to put the wrong type of info in some of the boxes which gets flagged as spam links
I was looking at a competitors article posting the other day.
I know he hired someone to post the articles, google dont
At the same time, I picked up tips on what goes in the author box
With a bit of experimenting, I found you can have multiple articles. Just keep them on the same subject and spin a general title and article description {article1|article2|etc} in the body
If you have ten articles, thats a lot of spun content going out
At the same time add the odd website link to some of them
Chances are, over time, you get more natural back links. When the articles get scraped and used by other sites
Add an author name and spin the name {fred1|Joe5} etc
Dont rush into setting the software up, research and take your time doing it bit to get the best results.
Spinning directory submissions s4nt0s gave a good tip on using one of the free translators for the German directories
My competition has German directory submissions which show in his back links

And another suggestion again: My AV reports every few minutes an URL with exploit kits or other Virus. Why not collecting at least these url together and build a big blacklist for such URL's. This would also speed up everything a little bit and it doesn't make sense at all to post to such URL's or even try it.

Very true. I have had been spending a while reading up on best practices for certain platforms, and it helps a lot.

Where to find said best practices? Well look for info from long standing specific software, eg articles - read up on AMR, loads of good info. Bookmarks - read up on pligg robot.
You get the idea.
This software can beat the hell out of most of these specific softwares as well, just the best practices are thin on the ground because it does so much.

My question:

Anyone got any tips at all on writing engine.ini files? I know the dev is pretty quick adding new platforms etc, but im sure after adding that built in feedback option, hes probably swamped, and the whole point of a scripting engine is to allow others to extend it.
I did see a few mentions in the old thread, but couldnt find any tips.

The developer is actually working on a trainer that will let us create them easily. It should be out relatively soon knowing him.

hey guys, just wondering, what kind of kws and anchor text do u use for ur tier 2 and tier 3 links? if ur primary kw is dog training (seems we all use that as an example) and u hit long tails like dog training guide, best practices for dog training... in the tier 1 links, what do u guys build to tier 2 and 3? @lee thats a great tip about spinning multiple articles into 1, i am going to use that for sure! thanks :)

Hi, thanks for your quick response. Please find the attached screenshot and let me know of any changes required. Thanks

Your problem is you're building links to pages with PR instead of domains with PR. Click "use PR of page" and it will change to "use PR of domain". That should speed things up a lot. Also, I would uncheck "try to skip creating n0follow backlinks" because its more natural to get a mix of both d0f0llow and n0follow.

3.34 - new: categories are now also choosen by your keywords as an alternative
- new: less cpu usage in "verify only mode"
- fix: gui of some option boxes was wrong
- fix: html was sometimes not removed on none supporting html code engines
- new: three new directory engines added (LINKER, Unknown German Directory, MyEngines)

Also, I would uncheck "try to skip creating n0follow backlinks" because its more natural to get a mix of both d0f0llow and n0follow.

I have that option checked and you get about 2/3 follow and 1/3 no follow, at a rough guestimate
Which makes for a good mixture

wondered where me daliy update was, i was getting bored watch CS fail to solve captchas....!!
