GSA Search Engine Ranker - Extremely Powerful Linkbuilding Software (Free 5 Day Trial)

Someone tried running GSA on linux machine? For example with wine?

Damn, he is trying to catch everyone off guard today

3.31 - new: added antigate.com as another captcha system

You can use VirtualBox on Linux. Install Windows there and you're ready to get some seo tools.

HAHAHA I've been busy and haven't even updated to 3.30 yet..!!!!

No excuses, use the correct terminology, been going rusty in the yUK rain or playing with your summer central heating timer or just plain slacking

I know it is possible to run it on virtualbox but running two systems on the same machine is really resource consuming. Thats why I asked if anyone tried using wine or something similar ;)

Slacking big time! all updated now even the Link Indexer

@Lee: Thanks for the updates :)

@Bouquet: Does the link indexer now store the queue or is it just related to the trimming?

You know I don't actually know?

I updated while it was busy on purpose to check and when it came back it was empty then it kicked in but that could have just been SER sending it links?

I couldn't find any files or anything to suggest it queues up url's?

Can you include antigate.com captcha solving in your next update?

It has been added now.

So I can use 1 licensce to run this on 2 PC's at the same time?

Yes but don't run it on more then two.

So I can run 1 instance on 1 pc and another instance on my second pc at the same time and this is allowed(with one license)?

This is my understand from the post about licensing on page 1. Can the seller confirm?

It's fine to run it on two at a time. No need to over-complicate it. :)

That's too bad about Captcha Sniper. I read in another thread that you guys charge $6 per 1000 captchas when using decaptcher through GSA. That only compounds the problem for me.

Are you guys paying $6 per 1000 captchas?

I have no idea why anyone would actually use decaptcher. I have excellent success rates with deathbycaptcha and they are a lot cheaper.

I'm surprised more people haven't been talking about this new feature: 3.30 - new: ability to build links to verified links of another project (Multi-Tiel/Linkwheel)

You can now build out tiers easily. Sven is a champion.

Sounds like a pretty good feature now i just need a ton more coffee and get on it

It's a really nice feature, but we have to test it first ;)

@Lee:
Are there any news for my two reported "bugs"?

  • "Submitted" isn't reset to zero even after a "verify all". Is this a bug or not?
  • GSA Indexer doesn't save a queue. This sucks because when you need to restart a workstation you'll loose the actual queue. I saw there is an update out (to 1.25) but there isn't a changelog, so I don't know if this is fixed.

Ok here is what Sven said regarding these.

1) Verify All" just means that they are checked now. But it doesn't mean that they get deleted if the links are not there.
It's like this:

1. check like every 3 hours if the link is present
2. if we checked like 5 days and it is not appearing we don't check anymore and than the submitted counter is decreasing

The Verify All simply means to not wait 3 hours but check now.

2) GSA indexer fixed the que issue in the upcoming version.

s4nt0s, just looked at the new feature
Rather than just selecting one of the other projects, it would be nice to be able to either use ctrl and add extra ones or highlight the whole lot. That would be a massive boost in links very quickly

A little trick with articles, is to have multiple articles. {article1|article2|etc} then have a generic spun article title
It takes time to set up, but you can have thousands of articles, for a little bit of work

@s4nt0s: Aaaah I got it now. Only the verfied links are substracted from the submitted count. I tought the submitted but not found are deleted after a verify all. Thanks for your feedback.

About 2): I'm not sure if I understand you correctly (I'm not a native speaker). Does this mean in will be fixed in a future version, or it is already fixed in the today released version 1.25?

With the new feature:

new: ability to build links to verified links of another project (Multi-Tiel/Linkwheel)
To make use of this, create a new project and check the box
"Use verified URLs of another project" located under the URL field.

We could (and probably should) do three tiers. Setup your main project for your money site, then a second one that builds links to the main projects verified links, and a third one that builds links to the second one. This gives you three tiers. They arent really interlinked in a linkwheel fashion, but it is still a multi-tier option. With the right settings this could really rank well.

I am thinking something like allowing only PR2+ to the money site, PR1+ to the second tier, and no PR restrictions for the third tier.

Anyone else playing around with this yet?

OK, so i posted feedback via the in built form, but thought i would post here for good measure, as it doesnt give any indication the message was sent, and s4nt0s seems to have the developers ear!

Hi, great software, stable and very fast.
I have a few (hopefully simple) features that i think would be great additions.

1. Support posting blogs (eg articles) to elgg, rather than just profile links. Ive had a play with a number of sample sites and its seems fairly straight forward in comparison with the article sites SER already posts to.

2. Post blogs (eg articles) to jcow platform. Its similar to elgg, see sample sites below:

http://999clubs.com/index.php?p=member/signup
http://www.143clubs.com/index.php?p=member/signup

3. Lastly have a manual verify links now feature that will run through all submitted links immediately (maybe it will only work when campains are paused).
The current way of doing it is great for an ongoing project, but for testing purposes, as well as building out AA lists for later use, instant is required.
I can do this in SB, but your software has the caperbility to do it all in one app.

4. Disable sending data from this feedback box via the enter/return key! I think i emailed you my 1st sentance by mistake.

This software is fantastic as is, but i would love to see these updates included.

Thanks a lot.

Ok....I downloaded the free trial and think its an excellent bit of software and Im 99% going to buy it.. I am using it at home from my own pc...Do I really need to set up vpns and proxies etc . I am not blasting the hell out of it and I am selective with options and only do limited runs at a time.. I just want to now if I am heading for my ip being flagged as a spammer... So yes love the software just want to know the downside for smaller users

Hide your ip if nothing else
You can get shared ip at a decent price
I use buyproxies.org after someone recommended them on the old GSA thread and find them cheap enough and the support good

I love this program but 2 threads packed with info are out of control and impossible (at least for me) to keep an eye on. Has anyone put together a best practices? Or even does anyone have a list of posts in both thread that are worth reading.

Finally can someone supply the hotmail settings (I Just purchased 500 hotmails email from fiver as s4ntos suggested).

Edit: found it I really hope someone makes a pdf or at least gets the most important post numbers. I might just get the post numbers myself and post them. The 2 threads are beasts and I am sure that people are not going to go through all of them.

Email info:

The easiest to use would be hotmail.

Pop3 = pop3.live.com
port = 995
use ssl = checked
Username = Your hotmail address
Password = Your password

Also if you go on fiverr.com you can get 500 verified hotmail accounts for $5. These will last you a very long time
