Finally got through the entire thread! I think I spent a good 8 hrs (on and off) reading and taking notes.
If you don't have SENuke or Xrumer, getting through a few promotional cycles is definitely possible without spending too much money. I already have a head start because I already own Scrapebox and AMR (two tools that every internet marketer should have in their arsenal, so go buy them!) so I have somewhat of a head start. But anyone with a tight budget can figure out how to get through the entire promotional cycle while incurring minimal costs.
I'm planning to create all the content (spun articles/titles/resourceboxes, ppt, pdf, youtube vid), bulk up my AA lists (for AMR and scrapebox), RSS directories and bookmarking sites? (not quite sure of SENuke functionality until I try it; may just steal the 100 main BM sites from BMD 6 and plug them into SENuke if they're not there already), hellotxt accounts (found some fiverr gigs), email accounts (will probably buy a hundred or so from fiverr), and set up the manual web 2.0 properties.
After all that is done, then I'll go through the steps of the promotional cycle and get my 14 day trial of SENuke X! I am looking to complete 1 promotional cycle for 10 websites before the trial is over. For the time being, I'll also be using Fiverr for the Xrumer blasts.
Hopefully my serps rise enough (along with my income) within 30 days to warrent my purchasing both SENuke and Xrumer by the end of next month.
From all case studies that I came across in this thread, I don't see why I wouldn't see a significant jump in SERPs within the next couple of weeks. I'll keep ya'll posted on my findings.
Link diversity is definitely one of the key factors to consider when trying to rank your sites, there's not much else you can do beyond what's mentioned in this thread!
Again, thanks to cash202 for the time you took to guide all us fools (especially me) through our journey in your method!
Now it's time to take a nap, have a lot of work ahead of me today!
