Contact Form 7 Plugin for WP Problem

Hey guys I'm having trouble with the plugin, I tested multiple emails, I checked their FAQ and got this:

I see a response message ?Your message was sent successfully? with green border, but I never receive a mail for that.

Showing the green border message means that the PHP function for sending the mail has certainly completed successfully. So if you can?t receive the mail, it?s highly possible that the mail has been kidnapped or killed after that.

If you can check the log of your mail server, it could give you some clues. Spam filter often causes this kind of problem.

I do receive the green border successful message, and I checked the spam folders in both tested emails.

I've searched around and and found "fixes" that were out of date and tried them.

I also tried other plugins(2). Easy Contact Forms & Contact Form.

Any ideas/suggestions?

I have used contact form 7 on many websites and never had this problem. Maybe you should delete it and reinstall the plugin.

Thanks for the reply. I tried that. I tried deactivating mailchimp plugin too. No luck.

I believe your hosting mail server is not properly working, if other plugins for contact forms are also not owrking, than it has to be problem with your hosting.

Thanks, I tried sending and receiving from the email [email protected] to both a Hotmail and Yahoo and both are working fine.

Try this way: Register free hosting on some free host provider, copy the WordPress files and database there and try using Contact Form 7. If it works, you will know it's the hosting problem.

Thanks man, I'll probably give this a try. Its already on a free host, haha.


I deleted the footer of the theme because it had way to many links and it set off a flag message if you deleted links, so I just deleted the footer altogether.

Do you guys think this could cause a problem with Contact form 7?
