Hey guys,

Just wanted to gather some insights for the seasoned offline marketers here.

When it comes to setting up an E-commerce store, where you're doing product entry for about 500 products, and also designing their webstore, how much would you charge?

Will be using a hosted e-commerce solution.

Would love to get some shared responses here.

Thanks in advance.

Hey, Well the way I like to figure my price is 2 USD per product entry and then charge 100 USD per page
of content. So for example someone who wants a 500 Item E-Commerce website with 4 additional pages ( about us ect )
I would charge 1400 USD. Also remember to make it clear that they only have a certain time for revision and then after that
revision time it is a 40 USD Per hour charge for changes or maintenance. This is Critical because when you make a E-Commerce
website for someone it is almost like marrying them. You will get phone call after phone call wanting you to update their products
or help them use the back end of the CMS. Hey I mean sure teach them some and be fair but at the same time do not let the
keep using you without pay once the website is built and the final payment is made. I hope this input helps !

Good Luck !

In addition to that if the client has a big plan for extension one must have a monthly fixed amount for maintenance and extra work charges for additional entries.

Yeah be sure you don't end up working for free putting in 30 minutes a day. Either chare a flat fee per month or charge by the hour. 40 an hour for maintence is kind of high.
