ok guys - this method is still rumbling around and doing somersaults in my brain, so feel free to add twists, refine or trash where appropriate - mods please remove if it's total pants!
The method involves getting a qr code (quick read - google throws up loads of free generators)
Firstly I was reading a blog about a method for getting traffic to a website - she had the qr code of her site printed on a t shirt and was wearing it around - now i wouldnt be into random strangers scanning my chest LOL but it did give me the idea of getting 50 or so t shirts printed and giving them to hot girls going into music festivals they sure would get scanned by a lot of young, horny, drunk/stoned lads!
Then i thought about the costs of the t shirts - it would probably outway the revenue gained, but what about stickers or flyers? you could get a few lads to stick them on hundreds of tents for the price of a 6 pack!
I'm targetting festivals simply because its getting close to that season and groups spend a lot of time sitting around getting drunk/stoned/happy.
Don't know about you guys but i just cant resist scanning those codes with my phone LOL
Anyway then i started to think: what do drunk young lads having a ball like to do? Play games? listen to music? watch porn? (web cams would go down a storm but are they accessible from a smart phone?) play pranks on their friends? (could you get the code to point directly to a premium phone or text service with your affiliate link in?) It would need to be something they could pay with from their phone as i doubt they would be carrying credit cards.
Even if there's nothing in this method festivals wise, i think the qr codes placed in libraries & internet cafes could generate some traffic to your site?
