Like many people, Penguin tanked a few of my sites. I was in the process of building many more micro niche sites and was going to run adsense on them. Now, I don't see the point if they aren't going to rank. I've been away from the forum for about 2 weeks on vacation, but before I left it seemed there was no definitive answer to getting sites to rank post Penguin. Has anything changed, and do you think MNS are still worth it?

As long as you are offering quality in every regard, nothing will ever be dead.

Try to look at it as an advantage. Many sites have fallen because of the google penguin update and with the proper link building and quality content you can easily outrank your competition.

Things run in cycles of course.... But over the last week my earnings from my simple autoblogs are rising .. From $20-30 to $50-$60 a day.

WP and a few plugins and some products .. How long it lasts can't tell you.

But I think in this business diversify/never put eggs in one basket .... and in the long run if you do it well you will profit.

+1!
The latest update can help to rank on keywords that I never dreamed to rank!

MNS were profitable in 2008.. they require more work and backlinking. no such thing as putting up a 2 page site with spam links. Bigger authority sites are the future.

Thanks for the input. For my MNS, I try to add new content every month or two, just so that it's updated. Some of the content was spun though, and I got penalized. I'm not giving up yet.

depend on what you mean by MNS - if you can be bothered to add 20-30 pages and go after some long tails then yeah they can be worth it. But 2 page sites are going nowhere fast.

I think MNS plus Adsense is a bad idea, putting all your eggs in G is asking for salmonella.

Good Content/ Quality Backlinks will make your site as the best..am also having MNS sites but not even a single site of mine was not affected...YOU should go with regular content adding and manual quality backlink building on a regular time period, then their will not be problem with Panda or Penguin or any other future update by Google

Thanks

It may be off topic, but I think that authority sites are always the way to go.

The reason being, you can encompass tons of keywords within one site and provide more content. One keyword may act as an LSI for another and they all begin working together.

Why build 10 sites with 10 different keywords when you could build 1 site with 10? Not to mention, the profits from authority sites are usually way higher - atleast from my experience.

What plug in u use to avoid duplicated content? autoblog make that much, I clap for u!

MNS is profitable. Have 5-10 unique and quality articles.
What I do is, I write/hire/etc 10 filler articles and upload them on my MNS that way my website does not look thin and thus looks content rich.
I send some links to my inner pages.
I rank homepage on all the keywords I want to rank for.

Hey man, I tried to send you a PM but your inbox is full. I'm just starting MNS and was wondering if you can give me a little help please. Thanks

MNS is good if you have quality. Monetizing it with adsense or anything is your option.
