Hey guys,

Today I found a domain "e-keyword.com"

and the keyword has an exact match search volume of 3,350,000 and to top it who.is says that the domain was registered in 2002 and webarchives has it's archives dating back to 2000

The domain was expired yesterday and I think If I buy it within 24 hours G won't reset it's domain age

The problem is that the competition for top 15 is extremely fierce, mozbar reports the #1 site having 220k backlinks coming from 4k different domains and the rest 14 spots also have tons of backlinks

So guys is it worth it to buy such a domain with such fierce competition ??

Thanks :)

it will be pretty tough to rank for this keyword
and just for your information all the tld's are available except .com and .info
If i was you I wouldn't waste my time on unrealistic projects

my 2 cents

yeah man, tough but not impossible, it would take alteast 6 months to rank for this...

may be it can be a long term project

Even if you need a year to rank on first page it could get you nice payout. This 3mil monthly searches are for exact keyword or wide?

Even I was thinking on the same lines (Thats what I call long term planning)

and the search is exact match :)

That?s good but your ranks are not boost in few days, it?s taking a time.

guys I bought it :)

will work on it as a long term project because If I could rank for this the payouts would be AWESOME

I believe there's no harm in trying the so called "impossible" or "unrealistic project" :P

thanks guys for your valuable insights :)

another good old saying "where there's competition, there's boatload of money to be made"

Of course there is no harm. You can always grab a part of the pie and bank from it. I'm 100% sure that just keeping the domain with the site will earn on selling alot more than you invested. You got win-win situation :)

I don't like domain names with dashes, but that's just me.

Exactly , domains with any special character , a bit odd to me even , though , did you bought it at normal price or at some auction?

normal price :)

that's why I didn't hesistate to part with 10 bucks :P

btw I have ranked domains like key-word.com (like dog-training.com), so I can give this domain a good try :)

Google has nothing to do with domain's age.
If it gets dropped and you registered it, it will lose it's age, even if you did so within 24 hours.

It will be a newly registered domain name for the Whois, Google, and everyone else.
This is only about the age thing.
