High PR Profile Backlinks are useless now....

Just tested High PR profile Backlinks with drip method 30-40 a day and with 600-900 in a day. But no serp increases.

All websites i made profile backlinks are from PR 4-9.

I have made backlinks for web 2.0. Google is not indexing those backlinks.

Till now i can see that google indexing status update website links, twitter tweets links, article links, web 2.0 links, some social bookmarking website links but not a single profile backlinks or forum profile backlinks or angela paul type backlinks. Looks like after penguin update, google does not give any value to these type backlinks.

No, that's not right, high pr profile links are still useful but remember...don't even try to blast your website with profile links.

FWIW I think profile links of any type are not too valuable but I won't completely stop building them as they might contribute to a nice diverse backlink profile.

Now a days Profile Link Building was like a drop of water which wont fill the stomach of your site..due to the over competition we need to do all types of seo work..then it will be a good success for you site..So do some other submission too..

Try writing a unique bio with your link. They still work for me and after a run of 100 on an odesk job I got 83/100 indexed. They work if you use them right.

This has never been part of my backlinking, but I did do a test a just a few days ago for a friend.

Result: Google still indexes profile backlinks, even low PR ones (PR1-2). I got them indexed within 3-7 days.

Key points:

- Unique content around them (I still got to index a few with spun content). I used about 100-150 words per profile. Choose Profiles where you're allowed to insert Bios or Visitor Messages, not just sigs. I included a picture in all my profiles, not really for indexing purposes as much as for extending their lives at the sites. In a word: Create a semi-valuable page out of the profile. Stop thinking "backlinks" and what you obtain from them and start thinking "pages" and what you can give to others. That's one of the many uses of "WH thinking".

- Ping each profile once (try Pingler). Links from Twitter and microblogging platforms work well (Pingler I believe includes the Twitter part as part of the service). Then create feeds and submit to RSS directories (include manually feedage and feedagg and ping those feeds too). Finally, and this is very important, continue to include the same profiles in new RSS feeds and repeat the process over time.

Now, don't rely on these backlinks alone. But if you get a EMD or page on an authority site with unique content and do the process I outlined above, you'll rank for many long tail KWs without problems.

Profile backlinks are the lowest type backlinks, it works in the past but not after google panda and penguin update. Get better backlinks strategy like article directories, web 2.0, press release directories, and private blog networks. Yes blog network getting hammered post penguin but there are still few that are private which still safe because small footprint within this private blog network.

It's not obsolete. However if you are linking back from non relevant sites, then yes that's obsolete. You need to be building quality links to and from those sites that are relevant to yours.
