Let's say I submit my link to 5 different pages on a site. How many of them are counted by google as backlinks? Do they count 1 backlink per site or multiple backlinks for a single site?

I hope I am being clear, don't know any other way to say it. I hope you lot understand what I am trying to say. Now can anyone answer my question?

Well, Google counts all the links. Don't worry about that. But it gives them different weight based on a number of factors. Google monitors if the links are from relevant pages, where on the page are they placed, in what context and many other factors.

But generally google counts all the links no matter if they are from just 1 website.

I have seen sites with only footer links from another site to be at the top spots for some keywords. :)

Google are count all link that's condition sitemap is very important because when Google crawls it's crawl sitemap as well.

Now as per the new update in Google search algorithm most of the SEO provider using tools get down and only white hat SEO service provider gets up with their sites.
Best updation in Google algorithm that i ever seen...
No boundation that you have to 50 links per day or 100 links but the thing is that where you are getting your back link.. only that matter..

Google counts all backlinks, although try to have a maximum of 2 backlinks per domain, you do not want sitewide links!

Thanks all for your replies. A lot is now clear to me.

If you can maintain relevancy, I means if all your link has been built on relevant pages then all links will be counted as google backlinks.

I may be wrong here, but I thought Google counts all url's but if the same url is anchored more then once then Google just counts the first anchor text?

Edit:

This is the article i read it from:

False broscience. You're saying that if the Washington Post links to the New York Times 5 times it's considered spammy...

The fact the more links the better but the more you get from one domain the more diluted the link juice gets so you might as well try to get links from unique domains/IP's.
