Godaddy "Search Engine Visibility"

Continuing with my "get off my a$$" initiative, I set out to buy a domain that I think I would do pretty good with. When I get to the check out screen i see an option to buy "Search Engine Visibility" for a few bucks a month.... Anyone know if this is real, or is it neglectable when implementing grey-hat methods? I would just buy it and say "sounds good to me" but those $2 a month i need for other things, like fiverr

Dont get it - its stupid. You would need to be a complete and utter fool to cause your site to be invisible to G which is the only one that really matters anyway.

Just do your work with the onsite and offsite seo and you are better off imho

"Boost" can mean anything, like pinging your website one time. Does it say anything else other than that? These guys are really letting the ball drop here, they could be generating leads at that stage in the process for a professional SEO firm and getting percentages of thousand dollar contracts!

Don't waste your time.

This is just an upsell for Godaddy to pad their numbers a bit. All they likely do is submit your website to the search engines, something that you can do yourself.

Building even one link is better than this service.....

Its a search engine submission service and a good way for Godaddy to make some coin off someone that doesn't know any better. It will do nothing for you.
