Hi BHW,

I have done a lot of keyword research and found some keywords which have 7000 [exact] Local US Searches per month and 15000 exact Global Searches.
I want to rank new site/sites on page 1 of google for these keywords.
:) Competition is very low, even hubpages are ranking on page 1.

So which is better?
1) An Exact Match Domain for each keyword like www.keyword1.com , www.keyword2.com , ..........
or
2) An Authority Site with each post targeting each keyword like www.niche.com/keyword1 , www.niche.com/keyword2 .......

Exact match domains rank well but I don't want to risk myself by buying so many domain names for my keywords.

So what do you think?

Please answer me. The rest of my life depends on our answer.

general speaking authority sites will get you more traffic but not immediately. You need time
EMD can be in page 1 at less than month.Less traffic ofc

Hi,

If you are not willing to risk and test IM is not for you mate - but having said that, why dont you register six domains to start with and give it a go, if you have done your research properly you shouldn't have any problems.

Regards,

EMD's don't hold the same weight as they use to, yet it's still considered a good idea to have it in the url in some way or fashion,

example: Meal Replacement Powders

mealreplacementpowdersinfo.com

or

powdersasmealreplacements.com

Both have variations of your keyword in the title. You can see this with the recent Penguin update. It's more about onsite SEO and quality likes pointing back to your site with varied anchor text.

I will go with keyword1.com
keyword2.com
thats better and easier to rank

I don't know what are the keywords and how many of them do you have, it would be nice if you'll specify the niche generaly, also there is a chance that you'll not be able to monetize the traffic (if keywords are non-commercial at all and you don't want to deal with adsense.
But for me I'd make a website with exect keyword in the domain (1st case) and some good content. Such sites can rank perfectly but it depends on the methods you'll use to promote them (e.g quality of your backlinks).
Also you are to analyze the background, e.g. how many index pages are in top10 for each keyword.
Also you can try to test two cases if you have enough keywords- for some use exect domains and build a website based on others.

All of them are amazon product name keywords. I want to build an Amazon Authority Review site for all my keywords. But you people are suggesting micro niche sites. Got me into more confusion. I wanted to know the difficulties faced in ranking an authority site.
