No, Godaddy does not charge transfer fees, rather it's the new register which charges you and it's for a year renewal actually.

Awesome, I've seen some ads on reddit for 4.99 domains.. and every now and then godaddy has the $1 offer. I take the best deals, wait a few months, then move them over to my usual domainhost, who charges about $10 for the transfer, but adds a year on. It pays to shop around lol

But costs $10.99 for a .com domain so 3 times more expensive then domain.com and domain.com is quite good for that price. When you look at the price, domain.com is good, overall I like namecheap.com much but a bit expensive and I don't have got much money to invest just my $.02

I knew you would ask this question. Have you compared the Whois Guard Cost? If you don't need privacy than its fine! keep up with domain.com. But if you need [Combined Cost are Almost Same] and if you buy domains other than .com? Than name.com is the best! I won't get you think deep but I must say, think again and think deep!

For domain names I think is personal taste. Personally I like namecheap.com most because of free whois guard for first year ($2.88 after) and almost same prices to all well known registers like GoDaddy and Domain.com and Name.com.
But when you just need some simple, cheap domain, then you would go for a cheaper register, if you just want to test it out.

But hey, if you're happy with name.com its fine. It was just my opinion.

(Domain.com costs $7.99/$9.99 depending on their pricing I think, they change it often after the first year so fine I think.)

i would imagine hosting doesnt effect SEO. Then again im a noob Right now I have host who buys in bulk from another hosting company and their server is in america (my target market).

There are two types of hosting one is normal hosting another is SEO hosting the difference in both is that Normal hosting is where multiple sites hosted on same IP and in SEO hosting Only 1 C Class iP per site which is more better and mostly SEO Hosting you need to have Dedicated Server to get best results and there is many more things in it you can care of
