NOTE this is a filter for big brands but gives pre penguin results on google

This is very cool (but very sneaky by google)
http://www.seroundtable.com/google-penguin-check-15165.html

It is a filter giving the likes of amazon and ebay a kick up the serps,or by what I can see immunity to penguin, great post.
It works!
e.g
your keyword -ebay.com

I tried it, but didn't notice anything different. Not sure if it's just my keywords (which a few were hit by Penguin) or the trick doesn't work. Cool article though!

i used -amazon.com and it works like charm.............

So how does this give you your pre-penguin ranking back?

I didn't realize I had been hit.

I tried it and it worked on my main site. Now if it could just get the traffic back that easily.

Wow, what the hell? It's like an EXACT copy of how they were right before the hit... what the hell? What does this mean? Sorry, i'm kind of shocked lol. Must be pulling some cached results or something from god knows where... thats only updated like once every 3 months or something lol... But still cool!

it means someone at G needs this shit dor analysis and to deal with all the White hat webmasters complaints.....

Imo(and i may be wrong),it indicates one thing the penguin filter wasnt applied to the big sites.
it was a common knowledge before too,but now it is like a evidence.

Agreed. If ever there was proof of G favoring 'larger' sites, this is it.

I've tried this - but this didnt work. Can you please tell me elaborately???

Waiting for your reply.

If a site with 30k page is a large site? hit too. or mine is the most minority?

Here in the UK it seems to be working with any negative parameter, not just -amzon -ebay etc. Weird!

My website was sitting in the 2nd spot for two keywords responsible for an easy 2k per month term.

Now the site is on the 2nd page and it's all due to "Penguin".

I've been reading about things I can do to get my respect from G back but this is really upsetting!

This actually worked, wow. Sure gives us some sort of insight on the Penguin.

i tried it and found out i have been hit. my site appeared number 1 using this trick but number 3 without it

Hah! I did this for my site and I found out penguin HELPED me. I went from 6 to 2! So crazy.

It works. But useless. "Back to #2 in SERP" with the term, that noone uses =)
how to oblige users to add -amazon . com? )
