I just wanted to say something about all generic comments splashed over blogs, guestbooks and forums. They are nearly always out of context and make no sense. And in the end - consider how 'I lIke this p0st!' comments look on your link profile? The blog may be Auto-Approve but that's no excuse for crappy comments.
Back when Scrapebox was first released, many people said comment context doesn't matter, but I thought "It takes just as long to make a generic comment as it does a niche specific comment." So try this:
1) Get a content scraper (I used Forum Generator for years, just for doing this). But that is old, and most here probably don't have it. Santos sells a great piece of software called: "Ultimate Comment Scraper", I am sure you have heard of it.
2) Scrape comments using niche specific keywords.
3) Filter through these comments. Some of the ones that work the best are questions or statements of fact...so look for that type. Copy them into notepad or similar.
4) Use TBS or similar to spin the comments. I used to auto-spin, but recently started going through each comment and manually selecting the synonyms that make the most sense.
5) You end up with some great comments!
This isn't just about what Google looks for. It's also about what webmasters look for. I have had a lot of these types of comments pass moderation on blogs, I even get people responding to them from time to time. A comment on a moderated blog is worth much more than a 100 AA generic comments.
At the end of the day you want something that looks legit. It doesn't take much work to do this, and will be one of the pieces in giving you a better backlink profile.
