I thought this would be answered, but I searched the forums and can't find anything (Maybe it's because the answer is so obvious). If all this is covered please don't troll - Just give me the link! lol

Seems like a silly question, but how much of this stuff is fake? For example,

1. I go to register the site - My real name and/or business?
2. I go to apply to be an affiliate - Real name?
3. Email/Phone# - Are these anonymous or am I giving them the legit ones I actually used.

--

- If I register Fiver accounts - Anonymous (Name and payment?)

Reason I ask:
I went to sign up for the first affiliate site just to get my feet wet. And the first thing I saw .. 'payment' and they had some weird payment type and 'check'. If I get a check it NEEDS to be my real name! I actually have no probably with some of this being in my real name until I ultimately get banned - Worried that legal action will be taken!

If all of the above is true - I'm getting EVERYTHING IS DONE ANONYMOUSLY? Should I just use Tor, anonymous proxy list, or a reputable VPN?

I think I might be focusing on the small stuff, but once I get this knocked out I have a niche I would REALLY like to exploit.

Anything sending you money = Real Info (unless you REALLY know what you're doing)
Site registration = Can be fake, but you should be using private whois anyway :)

If you're signing up for affiliate sites, don't be giving them a fake phone number. They're going to want to call you and talk to you before approving your account.

Seems risky giving away all that information. Makes sense to hide the whois information (even though that can be obtained if a person REALLY wanted to). As for the phone number ..

I'm assuming you guys use a Skype number or a GVoice number that redirects to your phone?

use real info on affiliate networks, and use whois on domains.

As MrDetails said with everything that sends you money I would register with real name it's very common (especially with CPA companies) that they request your ID scan before they send you any money

It's no riskier than giving the bank your information. What are you, a convicted felon or something? :p What do you have to hide if people find out who you are?

Also no, the majority of reputable companies won't accept any VOIP numbers.
