[TUT] Make Amazon Sites That Convert

Quick question, I'm really new to Amazon affiliate.

Why do you want your site's cookies on their browser? Is this how Amazon credits you?

What if they don't buy that product, but some how ended up buying some other random items, will I get paid for that too?

The cookie is there to let Amazon know that the customer traveled through your link and not somebody elses. And yes, that's how a lot of affiliates get paid, through random stuff.

So you just go after a whole section not per product ?

Yes.

Hi LBrown, thks for the tut. So most of your amazon sites are just a few products reviews post? What about if there are many differenï¹° types of items in that categorï¹°y? Do u list them all manually?

No, I don't do product review hardly ever. I do keyword targeted articles. So with ruby rings I would not write about brand x style z ruby ring, I would write something very general about ruby rings, tips for buying, why they make great gifts etc. This is good because there are many different types of products for each keyword. I try to make my display at the top have something would appeal to every visitor since it is the display that makes conversions, not the articles..

LBrown

Excellent Tutorial. But still confused about articles on same site. Is it possible to see an example site? It makes sense to have display on the top but don't really follow you on article writing.

Thanks

Thanks miss Lbrown. For theme n layout, which do u recommend? I read somewhere that best conversion is not to have any sidebars. What ur view on tthis

Think about the type of articles you post on ezine articles. Those are the types of articles I put on my sites.

I love atahualpa but anything simple will work well. I have a few sites without sidebars but I haven't seen it make a huge difference. Amazon.com has sidebars as do most online stores so I think visitors expect to see sidebars. When I use them I prefer the sidebar on the right so that the products at the top are the first visitors see.

Thanks LBrown for this straightforward tutorial. I will try it when I have some free time. By the way can you give some SEO tips to get the sites ranked? And how many pages do you have per site?

Sorry for talking off the topic, is that real you on your avatar LBrown (Leah Brown...)?

SEO is pretty straightforward: keyword targeted content plus keyword targeted backlinks. My sites range from 1 page to several thousand pages.

Haha, no, but what a fun off-topic question. It is a picture I found on flickr when searching for a black hat. I thought the hat was pretty and the girl looked kind of like me so I started using it as my avatar. And my name is not really Leah Brown or any variation of LBrown. I used to go as myself online using my first name and real pic but I learned my lesson.

Everytime you answer a question another one seems to pop up :P. here goes: For the websites that have several thousand pages, does each page have a product bar up top followed by an article or content? Or are there some pages that have nothing to do with amazon and are just content? Thank you :)

Do you use the same image on all of your pages or posts ?

hmmm, I thought it was. I didn't pay attn to the hat being black being the reason for the img.

So basically the ides is - by using only 3 pics you hook them to move to Amazon? So probably too much of interesting content/pics on the site doesn't help conversions...?

Any tips for getting your product some views / higher rank on Amazon?

I just need a theme! can anyone link me to something goood =s!

For the most part each page has it's own layout. Some of my article directory sites have many pages with no monetization or just Adsense.

Do you use the same image on all of your pages or posts ?

For my microniche sites I put the image below the header or above the post title so yes, but I do not copy and paste the code into every post.

Actually I use 3-5 images. Amazon uses 3-4 images in each row so if the layout is within the post or just above the post title then it has 3-4. If I put it below the site's header then I stretch it to 5. But the idea of getting them to Amazon right away is important. Interesting content does not help conversions.

Any tips for getting your product some views / higher rank on Amazon?

No, sorry.

Interesting method, how's the autoblogs doing? Are they pulling traffic?

Hello Lb, which platform are your sites hosted? carting ecommerce platform or wordpress with ecommerce platform?

thanks!

is not what converts, the layout at the top is what converts. I have several sites (an increasing number) where the text is just spun/autogenerated garbage and the sites convert as well as any of my sites with original, high quality content. People looking to buy will click the image and probably find what they want on Amazon.

Great post, but i have some questions :

1- How do you autogenerated garbage article ?
2- You use 1 emd domain for each keyword or you have 1 general domain with sub-domain for each keyword?
3- You use basic method to find keywords for your Micro Niche Sites (1000 search/month + low competition + minimum cpc $1)?
4- how many website you have? how much money you earn with them a month?

thanks for your response, good luck LBrown
