Is web 2.0 and link wheel working after latest penguin update? Is it possible to get back penalized sites by creating web 2.0?
Waiting for expert's reply...

Thanks..

From what I've been reading, it's quite possible that its not as effective anymore, but I mean a backlink is a backlink--just not the spam backlinks. There's nothing wrong with quality articles. Build links slowly and chances are G won't catch on. What else... test out your 2.0 link wheels yourself and see how it influences your site. My suggestion is get a cheap info domain (make something legit and unique) and test your backlink building method that way. Best of luck!

its working somehow for not competitive keywords. I've tried an experiment using backlinks from web 2.0

Thanks a lot.. I will follow the instructions...

Web 2.o is still working really well but main key is to diversify your Link sources and your keywords so it will work well for you.

Yeah they do work, but you need to create quality web 2.0's. Not link wheel with 10 web 2.0's which all have same one spunned article.

Build multiple web 2.0s over time, and add unique (or highly spun) content to each one--just an article or 2 per day (or every few days) for each site. Be sure to randomly add content from time to time, adding fresh content is important from what I've seen in my tests. Then go in and add a few links to your money sites here and there, as well as throwing in some videos. I also add some generic links to yahoo and other big names, just to create some link diversity and make the page seem less "self-serving" where it only promotes your site.

The end goal is to have multiple web 2.0s that are 10+ (the more the better) pages, with different categories and whatnot. Then build links to the main web 2.0 urls, as well as adding links to the deep pages. It takes a little more work than just slapping up a web 2.0 and blasting links to it, but the results pay off in the end.

get 30 blogs on different domains, get 2-3 unique articles on each, bookmark every new post etc...and after all are indexed, you will see some good rankings.
true story :)

Can you please inform me more about 'lot of media inside'

Thanks...:)

They mean to add different types of media like articles, videoa and images. Also make sure you add it to the 2.0 property over several days or weeks and add a lot of this content to each site.

What Giuni said above is spot on!

Gone are the days of senuking and publishing 1 spun article per web 2.0 account/property and then moving on to the next one. If you can manage to get 5 or 6 articles with 500+ words posted, per account, then do a bit of reasonable (not mass blast) linkbuilding to that property. You're in the money.

Try to avoid linking in every article, and if you must, then link to some other authority sites and not just your money site. Vary the link anchors bigtime and you'll be in paydirt.

when we're building backlinks for the web2.0's should they be done manually by scraping up some high PR domain blogs and posting relevant comments? or can we throw some SB blast at it (like 40 AA sites a day)

I've been following my web2.0's that I made with unique content 2 articles 800+ words also with varying anchor for the past month or so (video and pics included) and they're indexed in google but I did what I mentioned earlier and blasted the web2's with like 40AA sites a day for like 4 days then they got indexed but I don't see them as my backlinks on majestic SEO ... also linked to other related sites.

Do you think I need more articles and make sure not to link to my site on each one ?

I don't think you really MUST have more articles, but it's just a pattern I'm going with. Personally, I plan to continue building content on each of these sites each month rather than building more and more of them every month (though I will add a few here and there of course). If it was mine, I'd keep pumping content into it regularly. Also, the content I'm publishing is not just 5-6 articles all focusing on exactly the right keyword for that site. Instead, I'm publishing articles that are all in the same general category (like weight loss, self improvement, finance). I think it looks a lot more natural.

Although I've got multiple scrapebox licenses, I'm just using it to scrape URL PR and OBL. Then I'm feeding those into No Hands SEO, setting it on a small number of threads and letting it drip feed all the web 2.0 sites that way. It's got comments + trackbacks, with unique comments that I put in, and is posting at a rate of about 2-10 links per site per day.

I'm not seeing the links updating very often on Majestic or OSE. It's like they're both taking 45-60 days to update or something, so don't sweat that in the short term.

Build unique content and also keep building more 2.0s to your best high quality 2.0s

Top quality 2.0s <Quality < Shittier Quality 2.0s

You need alot more than 40 backlinks to your web 2.0. If you have 30 web 2.0's i would suggest you order a 20k blast ans share it between the 30 web 2.0s this way you will make them juicy and powerful. If you have 2 articles on each web 2.0. Make one of the links your site ( make the anchor text 'click here'). Once you have your 2 big articles, then every week i would add a simple post it doesnt need to be 500 words like your main posts. In these small simple posts just briefly talk about your topic in general so if your keyword is 'steroids for basketball' just talk about steroids for 100-200 words. The BEST strategy for each of your web 2.0 would be an introduction post (200 words) then a small simple post (100 words) then your first main article (500 words) then a couple of small brief posts (2x100) and then you seconds article (500 words). This makes the web 2.0s look so much natural and trust me it may take you 24 hours to get 1 done, but this one would be 50 times more powerful than cheap, senuke created ones. Good Luck buddy!!
