Hi, we issued an update a few days ago to address that error. :) The IP resolution mechanism was no longer working as intended but has been fixed.

Found an error in your "End user license agreement".

Don't have the false hope that you are protected by this claimed "legal agreement". you must insert your official company name, or your full personal name into the EULA, or else it is not an EULA.

Your PayPal payment is made to Jrim Software ;) Thus, Jrim Software is the entity as claimed.

As mentioned above, Kaspersky has (wrongfully) flagged our software. We can only guess this is because the software has become more popular and thus it is 'emerging', perhaps as a threat? We have already submitted a request for 'white listing' to Kaspersky. Please bare with us until it is addressed.

EDIT: A response from Kaspersky was received! (click to enlarge)

anyone can explain what is socks4 and socks5 and the differences?

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SOCKS#Protocol:
SOCKS5

The SOCKS5 protocol is defined in RFC 1928. It is an extension of the SOCKS4 protocol. It offers more choices of authentication, adds support for IPv6 and UDP that can be used for DNS lookups.

when you hibernate and turn the computer back on all proxies are marked not working.

the program should detect when there is no internet connection and stop testing and once it detects a connection again, it should retest the ones that were good,i don't know if its practical or not.

for some reason i cant get more than 60 good proxies at any given time.

Hibernate fully turns the computer off and saves the session to disk. If you're referring to 'sleep', the low-power state in which the computer stays on, then it makes sense that the computer would test the proxies as not working because there is no active internet connection. I would suggest you disable sleep if you plan to keep Proxy Multiply running. :)

If you can't get more than 60 good proxies, you may have too stringent settings configured. Do you have country filtering enabled? Some countries are harder to find proxies for than others. Do you have anonymity restrictions enabled? Google search restrictions? Google enabled proxies are the most rare. Are you testing against a specific website? Perhaps you have the 'test against' configured improperly. Please give more information and we can figure out what is going on :)

as you can see my last comment was different from what i sent via email its just that for some reason bhw spam filter wouldnt let me post my settings like i did on email.

so to answer your questions.

only us proxy

no transparent allowed.

other than that no other filter or no testing against a site.

one thing i did notice,
i took my laptop to a public wifi spot and was getting more than a hundred..maybe my isp is throttling ?
im supposed to have 20mb down 5 up....anyway im starting to suspect it has something to do with my internet.

D'oh, sorry for the confusion! The e-mail and forum post looked very similar. :) Yes, 60 proxies for United States only non-transparent is slightly low (as you noted), but not too poor. Most public proxies are unfortunately transparent. Furthermore most public proxies are from China! However, if you were receiving better results elsewhere then your internet is indeed the issue.

It may or may not be 'throttling' but it could also be a hardware issue. If you use a router, double check that the router is not denying too many connections opened in too short of a time.

after i installed a vpn freeware i went from 60 good proxies to almost 900.....whats up with that?are these false positives or im i missing something? i didnt change any settings i just activated the vpn.

my paid software showing trial version from last 5 days i sent message to you also 2 days ago still no reply please check thanks

I download Proxy Multiply demo. Its says v48 and force update to v50. When updating antivirus (comodo) warn about malware in proxy_multiply_updater.exe (or similar name) and delete file. Could You please fix this issue of malware in Your program? I would like to test it.

If I understand correctly, you are tunneling your connections through another PC and receiving better results, right? This would indicate that your computer is restricting the proxy testing via software means. Many internet antivirus programs limit network activity because they suspect it is virus-like (with all of the numerous quick opening/closing connections and whatnot) - try disabling any software like that or safelisting Proxy Multiply to have unrestricted access.

Hey kelvin! I'll reiterate from the private message:

Kelvin,

I apologize for the inconvenience. If you upgraded your computer (RAM, processor, etc) you will need to re-authorize. Just click the button that you are presented with that says 'Already paid?' and enter your e-mail as instructed. :)

Best regards,

Jrim Software

Oh, no! Proxy Multiply has really picked up steam lately in terms of popularity and it seems that the auto-updating mechanism is triggering antiviruses. We will contact Comodo today and hopefully this is resolved soon. Thank you for your patience!

Can ProxyMultiply find Australian Proxies? I need it for my local seo software.. ProxyGoblin only finds about 2 or 3 a week, so looking for an alternative

We keep Proxy Multiply running 24/7 on a server and our list currently consists of 13 Australian proxies. :) You should be able to find 50+/week if there are 13 in our list now, using the logic that public proxies die often and are replaced with new ones frequently.

Hi rainman, you may have a proxy set in your internet options that is no longer alive/working.

1. Open the Windows Control Panel and look for Internet Options. Alternatively, you can open Internet Explorer and click the gear icon, then click Internet options.

2. Navigate to the Connections tab and click the button at the bottom of the window that says "LAN settings".

3. Uncheck the box that says 'Use a proxy server'.

Is there a way to filter out proxies with certain ports? I am only interested in sock5 proxies but when I get proxies it tends to get lots of :80 :3128 :8080 proxies as well. Being as there are so many ports used with socks5 proxies I cannot use the "only accept proxies with the following ports" option. However if there was a way to filter out proxies with certain ports so it doesn't even leech them I would buy this software.

Thanks for the excellent suggestion!

We will add a feature to the port filtering menu to exclude certain ports. The update should be released in the next 3-5 days. J

Thank you for your patience with the update.

Has this been done yet?

Some things I would suggest to make it better:
1) Highlight which proxy type we chose either through an underline or check mark next to the proxy type list. Currently, no way to know.
2) Option of crawling of ONLY the proxy URL list specified in the config and turning off leechlist.
3) Find an IP. Create a feature to let us search for a IP within the proxy list panel.

Question:
1) Is there a way to run PM using a proxy? Don't want to piss off my ISP.
2) Why is PM going to a leechlist that falls outside the list specified in the config fetch URL? I would prefer this to be an option, rather than the rule. To test, I cleared the proxy fetching URL list. Stored only the HMA urls and attempted to crawl only the HMA pages and bring in only those scraped proxies. PM goes out to a leech list and pulls in proxies from them instead. I don't want that. I want the ability to control the URLs that PM crawls. So how does one force the crawler to scrape **ONLY** proxies in the config proxy URL list?

I've seen this shit come up twice (see image below). This happens when launching PM fresh and getting new proxies. This domain/url is shipped with your product.

Are you aware of this? I've since removed that url out of my proxy URL list and suggest you check and ship proxy website URLs that have been tested regularly. That kind of thing could fuck things up for everyone.

If you try going to that URL directly, it shows that it is dead AND it tries an exploit.

noticed a problem on my windows server 2008 and win7 64 bit , when I start the program it asks for update , it then is stuck with waiting behind the waiting for program to close option in the update manager . I then closed the program using my task manager , second time it updated fine on both systems. Just something weird that I noticed and thought I would let you know
