Hi everyone,

do you still think profiles are well considered by Google after Penguin?

I guess these were/are the best way to get high quality backlinks (and they stay live for a long time) but.. Google can find they're links in profiles easily (url contains always "users" or "profiles" for example), and they say they are doing a job to do ineffective some linking techniques and I had some site hit where I was doing nice high quality profiles (and getting excellent results!).

Any experience, what do you think?

Thanks :)

I'd say Google hit profile links hard with this update. I had some rankings for keywords that weren't in my site content, I was just getting the relevancy from some profile links I had built. After Penquin all those keywords dropped out.

Nice experience. Thanks.

What about the other keywords? (not linked by profiles)

Profile Links will work But only with PR 7 sites and only with Manual Profiles from Quality Sites.100% not with forum profile links.I am working currently for one of my client with this technique and he is still safe from google.Manual work wins.

I'm doing it with PR4+ as well, and only manually... but not sure it still works..

Everyone has their own version of what Google prefers. and what works in Google vs what doesn't work?
Yesterday someone just told me getting 15 people to Google+ your website will kickstart your website. who knows how true it is?

I'm testing it.. and not noticing nice influence to be honest...

Profiles were, in my opinion, once of best ways to get high quality backlinks (if done manual!), but now....... not sure...

I have found that sites that were promoted with human hands, not automation, are doing well. I have a system I'm working on and so far the results look good. I believe Google gives a lot of weight to how fast your links appear. Same with profiles, etc.

Just using profiles? Or you mix with something else? just to be sure the power comes from these :)

well all my keywords had some profile links. All my keywords dropped, but the ones with only profile links dropped out all together.

Well Profile link still working great for me. My site drop from #1 to page3, after waiting for 2-3 week I start building profile link manually and saw my site jump from #28 to #16 for 8100 Exact searches locally(US). But I am twisting few things I am doing instead of just building profiles links.
1. I register 500+ Profiles 2 days before start building links on it.
2. These profiles are not only forum profiles it include some community profile, HIGH PR Profiles.
3. My Profile pack range from PR9 to PR5.
4. I not simply putting links. I building Linkwheel profiles plus putting some context between the links.
5. Not building 500 Linkwheel Profiles at Once. But building 120+ per day
6. Use Lindexed after building links everyday.
7. Not building 100% profile links to main anchor varying anchor with homepage title and URL also.

Its my 3rd day of campaign and I see some good SERP improvment.
I will wait at least 1 week after completion of my campaign and then post exact results.
Hope this helpful.
