What do you think is a fair market value of a 2 month old site, PR4, that has been ranking on the first page for keywords for 2-3 weeks, but just shot up to #1 for a big keyword and is receiving more than 2000 uniques per day now? The site was making around $20/day before the recent increase in rankings, but now it is $150-180 per day (also because a new monetization method has been employed). I could really use the funds to invest in another venture of mine, so how much should I demand for this site on Flippa? Or is there another way you recommend I try to sell it?

Thanks

Can we also buy sites from Meathead ? Please let me know guys. Thanks.

$150*30days=$4500 a month * 12 months = $54000 a year = $108000 in 2 Years ...(you can set your price at 2 years revenue)...

Are you sure you get $4500 a month ? :) Usually such sites are not for SELL :)

BTW, tell something about your EXPENSES in order to maintain the high daily income...

2 year revenue on a 2 month old site that just started ranking a couple of weeks ago?
Not to mention the google updates that seem to have everything haywire lately.

Oh my.

Websites don't usually come with a lifetime guarantee. Sometimes not even a year guarantee. All it needs is for a new G update to wipe it out of the SERP's

Selling a site for 2 years revenue is not feasible, especially since your site has only been ranking for a couple of weeks.

8-10 X monthly revenue should be a good guide

Please send me the contact info for anyone willing to pay 108K for this 2 month old site. I have an awesome deal on oceanfront property in Iowa they probably also be interested in purchasing.

I was thinking $20-30k is the most I could expect, anyone feel differently?

ya, its closer to 10 the monthly earnings. so thats 45k
but since its so new, you could probally only sell it for 3-4 times the monthly earnings. which is about 15k
you are much better off holding the site. assuming these are your earnings, and they are consistent, you should be able to get closer to the 50k mark after a year, plus pocket all the income in the mean time

Calm Down, i gave him just an example, that doesnt mean he will get this price... See, i asked him if he is sure in getting $4500 a month... Cause if he gets this money a month, im sure he wouldn't SELL it :)

Im sure , nobody will give away even 8-10 months Revenue for 2 days site... Latelly, became very risky to play with big money for such sites... u can see what Google do and how are killed many Money Makers Sites...

Talk to meathead. I am on Flippa several times a day and pretty active, but like others have mentioned he's one of the masters in this area.

As a buyer, the first thing I would be looking for is how you suddenly went from $20 to $150/day. I'd also wonder if you are spending $100/day on Adwords/PPC campaigns. You'd probably have to reveal a little too much info to convince skeptical buyers that the $150 is sustainable longer-term and then they would be not buying and implementing your methods.

You can snow the gullible with vague info because they aren't going to buy anything that's expensive anyway, but if you want 20K or so, you run into a whole different set of buyers that will be demanding a lot more info.

The longer you can hold the site and the longer it keeps making $150 or more, the easier it will be for you to get maximum value.

ok, i see you guys are exited about this THread:), Take a look here, and you can make your own Conclusions:

https://flippa.com/2723516-huge-coupon-site-earned-over-65-000-last-year-over-700k-visits-per-month

P.S. my own conclusion is: THe owner of this site is Out of Mind:) for asking this price... his Reserve Price is $168K :), making $4500 a month, anyway his site is 3 years old and he gets around 20-25.000 visitors a day...

So, what im trying to tell you, is: THis site is OVER Priced (200.000) BUT HAS MORE WARRANTIES than his site 2 days old...

Why not just let the money flow in for now and scale it while you rank and potentially gain pr to flip for even more later? It's win win either way though..
Keep up the good work! This is what I'm doing soon. Maybe I'll be this good.

From your post, I can tell that you have ZERO experience when it comes to website flipping.

The site "just shot" to #1 position... and how long it has been there for? a week?

A site's value depends on many factors including but not limited to
1. Revenue
2. Revenue source
3. How long the site has been generating revenue for.
and there's a lot more than that involved in when it comes to valuating a site... Meathead1234 is the man to ask.

No seasoned buyer will invest serious money in a 2 mo old website. You're trying to sell a 2 mo old website that makes $150 a day? Oh please already. I was born at night but it wasn't last night. Without specific details about the website I call BS on your numbers but wish you good luck with ignorant Flippa buyers.

And what could possibly be my motivation to lie in a thread on here? If this was your attempt to manipulate me into revealing my niche to you, nice try. Move along, troll.
