Sorry if I've been asking alot of noobish questions lately, I've tried searching for the answers but I simply failed. So I'll just create another topic of this.

I've got a few questions about on-page SEO:

1. Should image alt tags be the keywords you're ranking for?
2. How many words is considered as quality content?

Thanks for helping out a noob! ^_^

2.Minimum 500+ words for each page of a site with keywords density of 2-3%.

1. if you have many images on the page you cannot use alt="keyword" on all on them, it may be considered a keyword stuffing. Just use on several images and for the rest use random numbers (alt="123123123")
2. quality content is not determined by number of words, but common practice to use 500+ words.

I wrote a tutorial for creating quality onpage structure, keyword length, image tagging, and h1-4 layout you should give a view. It is geared to wordpress but the same concepts apply to any page on the internet. Also I never create a page under 500 words. ever.

Make sure to set it to HD viewing or else its hard to read.

Yes, like answer

1) I'd personally would target an LSI; relevant keyword.

Example:

You are targeting "Make Money"

image alt tag = "How To Earn Money"

2) 500+ UNIQUE words; less than 1% keyword density.

This is terrible advice, why stuff your alt tags with random numbers!? The alt tag is there for a purpose, to be used as an alternative descriptive text for when the image doesn't load.

Your right in not stuffing your alts full of keywords, but use keywords in them in a useful way:

e.g: alt="making money logo", alt="making money ebook icon", alt="image of bundles of money", etc, etc

You don't have to use alt tags, so if you don't want to use them, just leave them; don't just add random numbers or text into them.
