Got a question... very new to the site

Can anybody point me in a direction on where to get started? I hear everybody mentioning "IM" but I don't even know what that is. Is there a thread that explains on where to get started?

It stands for internet Marketing, but dont post a thread asking for such broad advice, you wont many replies and its lazy. Simply get reading the forum, especially the sticky threads at the top of each forum.

I agree with milian, about this kind of things you should start to learn by yourself. More than that I'm sure that if you type "internet marketing" in google you will find many information useful to you at this moment.

To make you a short and simply description let's put it this way.

Internet Marketing, IM for short, means to earn money from providing online marketing services. This means to earn money from promoting others services/products or ads.

The idea is that you build an website for a specific product/service or niche, rise that website in SERP (search engine ranking position) and use it to sell/promote services/products or provide adverting space.

That is a very, very short desc of IM. But as I said if you want to get in start reading and learn.

How did you get here if you don't know what IM stands for? Google "blackhatworld" and you will find that the page title of this forum is "BlackHatWorld the home of internet marketing", which answers your question about IM.
