Here are the 10 steps making $1m online Just How I Did

Hi All,

Over the last few weeks I've had tons of Pm's after my last thread.

I just wanted to give you all some simple points on how I got to where I am...

First of all here is a test to see if you are on the right track to making your first $1m online....

If you can answer this question in UNDER 5 seconds then you pass:

How much do you need to make a day to make $1m a year?

:)

No be honest with youself here if you didnt get that so fast without using a calculator then you need to get these lessons into your head fast....

1. Know how much you need to earn per day (working days ie 5 per week or all 7 days)

2. understand that your income to last all of those 365 days has to come from different sources of income.

3. its all about the build up and scale. - A business man will grow using scale. A entrepreneur will grow using scale and his own ideas. - know the difference (crucial after you make your first $1m)

Remember hiring staff - they arent paid to think just to do. when you pay them to think they leave you :) (with your methods)

4. Start from $5 a day (thats how I started) you will learn the money is in the list :) and having your own products

5. There are 3 ways to make money online and every single one of them is interlinked

A. Get paid for your content - Example Adsense Ads on Your site or blog or Ads On Your YT videos etc so on

B. Get paid by promoting other peoples products - Ie becoming an affiliate clickbank, amazon etc

C. Have Your Own Products and get other people to promote and sell your products.

6. Make A plan dont worry about the Output just focus on the inputs ie the actions....

Set small goals and steps but make sure you write down your "to do" list

7. Every traffic source has a value. Any short term expolit should be used to make income long term.

8. Sometime you just got to work at it for weeks to make it pay off.

9. You can make money off ppc and ppv just takes longer and needs more focus.

10. The income split for me

A - 50% income from own products

B - 30% income as an affilaite

C- 20% income from content sites

Ask some sensible questions and I will answer please no PM i wont respond.

The more detailed your question the better the answer I can give!

Cheers :)

Hopefully my spelling is better this time ;)

You say "The money is in the list", I'm assuming you mean by gathering an email list and consistently emailing your userbase with information in the hopes they will eventually 'bite' and you will make a sale.

My question is - I've made my own products and used SEO to achieve traffic - but I've only ever pushed for the sale. I've never actually attempted to gather a list. Do you think it would be a good longterm strategy to have a pop-over upon loading my page offering free information if they give me their email address? Would the benefit from this easily outweigh my loss in conversion rate (from your experience, I know it's a hard one)

Cheers,
JC

So have you actually made $1,000,000 in cash for yourself? Or have you generated that much in sales? In the past 12 months I have generated $641,177.16 in sales but only banked $93,038.81 for myself (after calculating and deducting my expenses).

Loving number 6 "6. Make A plan dont worry about the Output just focus on the inputs ie the actions...."

Or as I've heard some say, "Don't get married to the result".

Number 6 is exactly where I completely fall down. Taking a big change to just do it and "trust the process". Good post, going to read again.

It's certainly wise to diversify and to make as much of your income passively as possible.

rep added op thanks , i have 2 questions :

1. when you create products outsource or by yourself , can you explain more about that ?
2. do you do email marketing , if yes any tips ?

Subbed, currently 100% of income from products myself, am starting Adsense, amazon affiliate site, good tips thanks op. ps can we have proof of your income? Screenshot? Just makes your thread more sexy imo

There are some great points in there. You didn't touch on how much you should have when you start though.

I always thought A and B are the same; adsense = selling other people's products/services with Google as the middle man.

I've always thought that you either sell your own products/services or sell others' products/services (adsense, affiliate, cpa)

There are some great points in there. You didn't touch on how much you should have when you start though.

You actually can start from 0 on free sites, then scale it up to 1m. The real question, how long did it take you to get this money :)

How do you promote your own products and what kind of products are doing the best for you?

So you are making this kind of cash without hiring a single person? That's hard to believe.

Dont think the "how long will it take", just keep making small goals and after some time you will be making alot.

If it takes you 5 years to make a million, you prefer making it or not making at all?

That is some sage advice. And I highly recommend writing your to-do list everyday and just don't go to sleep unless you have met your goals for the day.

@BigGuys:
Can you recommend some good courses / resources for preparing/launching own products?

Thanks for the great post.

Thats an awesome list. Just a bit of an addition. To do your todo list the day before you do it. So if you plan for wednesday, then make it on tuesday night. It will save you a ton of time .

This topic is interesting. However, it seems like this thread will soon be spammed with a lot of questions rather than useful information....

To OP. may I suggest you to only allow reply to this thread from ppl who has PM'ed you with creative questions and then you can update this thread in a manageable way..

What do you think?

Thanks

If i had a million I don't think I would be sitting on BHW posting how I did it for free :S
