Free Keyword Tool for checking exact match competition

hi everyone,

i have been gone from these forums a long time now, i have been busy doing IM stuff and keeping the regular day job Anyways about 6 months ago, i built a tool for my keyword research. I usually use Google's keyword tool to get my keywords ideas and check the traffic volume, but afterwards I always had to check google a keyword at a time to see the competition i was up against.

anyways long story short, i built a little tool where you can put a list of keywords & proxies, and it'll go out to google and get you the exact match results number, it's a very simple little piece of software but it has saved me hours of work, and allows me to check on niches pretty fast.

the program is attached, it's a zip file, unzip it and you'll see a .jar file, this program was built with java so that's why the weird extension, you can use it on windows and mac.

Hi Magic,

Thanks for the tool. I am curious to know if you can add a feature to get intitle:"example keyword" ???? I think this will go beyond the exact match results and provide more value for keyword competition analysis.

thanks for the tool - it's simple but the number of terms is not the best indicator of competition.

I am working on a more advanced tool like this one, but i won't go much into it since i dont want to presell, things I am including in the premium one will be:

allinurl, avg. pr of top 10 sites, backlink count, unlimited keywords (not just 25), and multi threading.

Nice idea, a really great addition would be to add the ability to choose which data we want to grab i.e Avg PR of Top 10 only or so. Practically all other seo competition tools are not flexible enough to select which data we want to grab.

Thanks william, problem is that I don't have that many metrics to give users a list to select them from. At it stands, the tool can (the one im working on):

Scrape proxies
Search keyword metrics (exact match, all in title, all in url, word count) it has a button to get the avg. pr of the top 10 sites if you want but does not do it when it loads the other metrics.
Competition Checker for a keyword (loads the top 10 sites for a given keyword, gives domain age, PR, backlinks, whether keyword is in title of the result, meta tag, and description.
Rank Checker (you can add a domain, and a list of keywords and it will fetch the ranking for them up to the 30th result, otherwise it will show >31, i may raise this the future but not sure)

Once i have all of these finished, i'll release a BETA on here with about 10 or so copies.
