[GET] Teach yourself C++ in 21 days

There is alot of people asking what language they should learn and everyone is saying that C++ is way to go as it takes same time to learn C++ as to learn uBot, C++ will take you longer cause you can code your own tools.

I would not suggest anyone starting, wanting to create cool automation tools to start with C++. It's too low level, down to the nitty gritty of the machine. It takes a lot more effort to create something than with say C#, and it has a steep learning curve. Learning programming in 21 days? That's just plain bullshit. Getting a good feel for it, becoming a bit productive takes a good while.

i cant see why it would be bullshit to learn a language (basic you know? so you can teach yourself alone after this course?) in 3 weeks if i learned VB in 3 days? never used it but after 3 days i was able to create remote MSN keylogger when i was a teen. i think i could make something small automated after 1 week of studying, simple commands setting them on loops with timers and conditions.

but i'm now interested about C#, got any good beginners manual around you could share?

How about tools? i think it is a branch of IM... aswell you can sell them? This is really very relevant share people is contantly talking about which language to learn for their tool ventures.

To say coding has nothing to do with IM means your a fool!
Coding is something I wish I learned early on. Mark Zuckerburg started with C++

Good share OP. I was thinking about the same thing, what coding language should I learn first? Of course different people have different opinions, but you gotta start somewhere.

this is good thing to go through, but i have noticed that c# might be more for me as it is object oriented coding and i found a great video set course to learn c# But i will get into c++ aswell (get the basics) when i have more debth in c#

If anyone wants to learn C# then I would recommend them to head to tutsplus.com. They launched "Learn C# in 30 days training" series few months back. The series is pretty awesome for any beginner.

There is no such thing as learning C++ in 21 days. First you need to learn OOP, then you can start learning C++, and it that's gonna take a while.

No point making bots in C++, if you don't wanna do it in Java or C# (or similar language) go for Qt

That's not true, I have to agree that it is IMPOSSIBLE to learn #c or c++ in 21 days, its just not doable as u need LOTS of practice, but a year is also a very long time.

Understand that there is no such thing as to "learn #c or c++" u can't really cover everything since its endless, u can cover the basics + the area u want to specialize on.

If u think reading a manual about #c and u'll become a #c coder well u'r dead wrong, 90% of the stuff u'll learn only with practice.

there's no way u can even reach the polymorphism page on this manual in 21 days and truly understand it and how to use it, it will take u 21 days to get use to writing simple code .

You can learn C++ in that time. Only simple C++ though, nothing like GUIs or anything like that

This is an awesome share. Obviously you won't be a professional programmer in 21 days, but it's the sort of thing that you can follow to get the hang of an extremely useful language. Anyone doing IM would benefit from that.

Thanks for this useful post. Downloading Visual C# as I type this, I probably wont understand a thing, but will give this an hour every night and see what comes of it.

Quick question though, Will getting the basics in C#, eventually give me grounding in making my own bots in the future? Probably a ridiculous question, but hey ho.
