How to start a Survey site?

Hi guys,

I have been reading and reading on these forums and want to try my hand at starting a legitimate survey company.
I want to start a company that is registered, pays taxes, and of course gives rewards/cash in exchange for people filling out surveys.
I see so many survey sites out there but no info on how to start one.

Do I need to have a site coded and if so what kinds of modules coded, where do I find surveys, contact ad agencies? And whom?

Any ideas on where I can get started? All tips and pointers appreciated!

I think most of the survey sites you speak of are thinly disguised lead gen sites. There are very few if any real surveys where you sign up and get paid for your opinion as self-selected surveys generally yield no valuable information.

Are you refering to a rewards site? like, fill out this offer and get 3 points, then have prizes that they can exchange points for.....mabey $10 prize for 100 points or iphone for 5000 point or such? If so there are a couple decent scripts out there you can get for those.

thats correct, I believe the script i used to use was shiftcode. there are a couple networks with decent amounts of incentive offers out there.

We have an affiliate with an incentive site and he banks very well, he know's which offers to use and he spreads them about
around several networks. The advertisers are happy with his traffic he doesn't even need to blank his referrers.
Saying that he has a good source of traffic of people that are interested in the offers as much as the rewards.

First you'll want to register a business, depending on what state you live in there's going to be a fee, but you can find all that out by going to your states website and looking under the business tab (most have one), or just find a service that will do it for you online.

Second, you can buy one of the available scripts out there and use it on a custom designed website (that'll help with your branding).

Third you'll want to attract users to your website. Traffic for these kinds of websites generally isn't very difficult.

I built a half assed survey site (horrible .info domain name, like 3 offers, very crappy design) posted about it on craigslist one time, got 3 registered users and had 2 of them complete 2 offers for a handful of points, while I got credited on the backend through the CPA company. People enjoy believing that they can get something for what appears to be nothing. Get a couple hundred people glading working on offers a month and you should be able to bank some cash.

What is a good script to use? I have domain and traffic for this. Just need to find a good and customizable script.

What kind of scripts are there? Can you name a few?
What about monetary rewards? I assume the scripting for the site is the same but the rewards are different?
