I disagree... I have sites that dropped lower than when they first started.... If that were true that would not be that low. It is a penalty. I would be better off with no links at all.

not trying to start an argument - but that theory falls over when you consider that the internet is always growing and the number of pages ranked for those terms has changed since you started. There's simply more pages to fall behind the older the site is.

First.. how negative SEO works... you start to blast the hell of a site with enormous quantity of backlinks from SB/Xrumer.. etc and try to force G to penalize that website right?

Well this is my exact SEO strategy and for me it works, not as a negative seo but for actual seo that help my websites ranking.

To be more specific I use to create backlinks SB blast, blasting tone of links a day 200k-300k per day.

Is true that some time I drop for some time but the key is continuity. Is true that if I drop and stop building backlinks the website will remain there, but if I continue to build backlinks (sb backlinks) in the same rate and add some diversity in the anchor I start to rise right away and even rise higher.

Is true that if your competitors build only manual backlinks for the past 2 years and you blast them with 1 mil website in a month they will be penalize... BUT...

1. If they will continue to blast their website after you stop they will rise again and even stronger
2. If they will do nothing and continue to theyr old strategy in 6 month maybe a year after they got out they will be back an stronger

Is true that if you are in the IM niche a 6 month drop will affect your earnings but here I'm talking generally. I do my seo for offline business website that have the patience to wait so when they get there they will stay there. And if you do not want to wait... buy a sb license, 10 private proxy a vps and start the work and you will be back in a month.

As I said.. This thing I'm telling you from experince and testing. I said testing, and not testing for 3-4 month but for almost 2 years now.

You would be better off working hard on your own website. Moreover, who knows you could possibly be giving a boost to your competitor's website in the name of negative SEO?

It is a case to case basis and I experienced it. I have a website ranking #3 for a certain keyword and I realized someone blasted the site with spammy links, yet instead of going down my website has moved to #2. I would like to point out that few high quality backlinks to your site is a lot better than sending massive spam links to your competitor.
