Paypal 'Donate' button on a Porn Blog?

Has anyone ever tried asking for donations on one of their blogs? Like in the rare case you get a regular visitor who happens to have alot of extra cash and is willing to support his favorite sites by throwing them a few bucks? Just an idea, I'm new to this and trying to think outside the box

Fake products are also prohibited by Paypal, and is used by a lot of people anyway. If no one mentions anything like porn in the subject or body of the payment message, I don't think you'll have any trouble.

Good luck getting people to donate even if it wasn't a porn blog.

I can get porn anywhere on the internet for free, why would I donate?

Ya don't do it bro, had personal experience with that so many times that now I hate "gaypal" with all my might. Even when I link the account somewhere else and someone donates and mentions my porn sites name in the comment that comes with the donation, they will limit the account and tell you to remove any reference of "bitchpal" from your site, even though there is none. Hope you understand?

It's depends... Actually PayPal is the world biggest processor of all that illegal porn which is being distributed via so-called file sharing services.

So in short: PayPal does not allow its clients to promote porn, but on the other hand it processes porn by itself.

Definitely not worth the trouble it will cause you. Just earn off adult ads since they won't violate a TOS and risk anything in terms of PayPal.

The way most people bypass the paypal TOS, you make a seperate page for your donation button, upload this page to a different domain that is not the same as the one hosting the stuff against their TOS. Then just link to the donate page from in this case the porn blog with a link "Click here to donate".. Then they follow link to new non TOS breaking domain and can donate. Not that I would suggest this, because obviously there are other ways to make money with porn. But, if you must that is the common method

A way to do an end-run around certain TOS is to post your email address and ask your supporters to send you a gift in the form of online cash or gift codes in whatever form they choose without specifically mentioning any particular online payment processor or merchant.

Honestly, I do not know why you are discussing here if PayPal allows donate button on porn blog or not...
The fact is that Donate button is pretty useless on 99.9999% of websites, not to speak about a PORN BLOG. It would be just a waste of time to play with the button, as it won't make you any money.

I have to disagree. I mean I have not made tons from donations. But, I have a site where I have a donate button for about 2 years now and I have prolly gotten somewhere near 1K lifetime in donations. I think it is all how you frame it and such. Just sticking a button there obviously wont get you much, but something pretty using the link always helps. Maybe an if I have helped you please help me with a small donation to maintain this site or something to that affect. They do have nice people out there
