I accidentally came through a post that free ".in" domains
1. Go to http://www.indiagetonline.in Click "Yes, I want my free website!"
3. Click "Create my free website now"
4. Choose a domain
5. Sign up
6. WHEN YOU REACH TO "Permanent Account Number (PAN)" enter "AAAPS8791R" but change "879" to anything you want like "923" BUT KEEP IT AS 3 DIGITS
7. Verify it with your email
8. Congrats you just made your own ".in" domain!

How long did you book this domain? I have booked my domain with some fake info but I got an email saying it will take 72 hours to verify that info.
 
I thought you will only get a free domain but it turns out that you will get a free hosting as well.
 
its working.. but how do you change the nameserver? there no option to change the nameserver?
 
BTW, before i start creation of the sites, I must be from India or it doesnt matter? Because I am European.

EDIT: To be part of the program, it is mandatory that you or your organization resides in India. PAN card is your national identity proof and it is something we would use for the validation of your resident status in India.
