Is it a good idea to write a unique article for a keyword that is a synonym of an article you already have for extending your keyword base?
Say you want to rank for both (purely examples) "WOW Gold" & "World of Warcraft Gold". Could you have your "World of Warcraft Gold" article within the easily accessible areas (menu) and "WOW Gold" only linked to in a sitemap or obscure page? I mean both would be either original and unique, but showing both to the users is kind of pointless.
I mean even if that 2nd page ranks better than your mainsite for those certain keywords, it still brings visiters searching that different keyword to your site.
Or would you just skip all that, write a single article and mix "WOW Gold" and "World of Warcraft Gold" within the article?
