Landing Page - Need Help!

Hi, Im looking to build a landing page and was just wondering how to do this. I was wondering, should I purchase my own URL and turn that into a landing page, or is it better to use a free website? I hear free websites charge a commission on your sales! so I need your advice! If there are any sites where you can sell stuff without a huge commission that'd be great!

Do you think a landing page would increase my sales rather than just telling people to send money to m email on paypal?

Free websites may place ads on your site. Some free sites dont show any ads. Whether a landing page would increase sales would greatly be impacted by WHAT you are selling.

I say buy your own domain. It's pretty cheap; you can usually get one thrown in when signing up for hosting. HostGator has pretty good deals. I can find you a link if needed.

Why would you do this? Would you want someone copying your sales page and work? I guess if you dont mind being a thief then go ahead and copy others work. I know I would be pissed if someone copied one of my landing pages and just put their info in it.

well, If you want my view id say a paid domain an hosting should be ur basic way- as this could involve u inserting keywords in domain for seo purposes..improve ranking.


also, if i was to ever buy anything online, if i noticed it selling on a free domain, me personally i wouldnt buy, others may but it heavily depends on WHAT ur selling!! hey it only costs a little for hosting an domain for a year- im sure 1-2 ebooks would cover the cost!!

also, when i used to play around with free hosting, which was ages ago, ive never come accross any hositng where they take come commision on sales if anything, i dont see how they would know someone purchased through the site itself! so whoever told you that is wrong, correct me if things have changed now! whihc i doubt!

Last time I checked him he was selling them as $75/Landing page (I think now he is charging more)... but you are almost guaranteed to get VERY high conversion!

I'm NOT affiliated with him in anyway... I juts used him in the past, and got MUCH more than what I've paid him.

Well unfortunately I don't have $75 to spend lol.
Do you think selling on a site like Amazon would be alright? Although I hear amazon charges a pretty big commission. Are there any other sites like this that would be better?
