By the way, most of my sites appear to have gained from the update - I'm thinking it's due to the huge link diversity. After all I'm blasting SJ and NHSEO links like crazy.

I wonder how much actual search VOLUME has been effected, rather than just search queries
Every major niche I watch (about 100 or so with >100k exact matches per month) have all had their SERPs changed since the 24th...
I doubt most major niches are any different.

I would always recommend good quality content and non-spamming links..

my site is still listed on page 1 for an electronics related keyword with around 10Million exact search matches

black hat strategies don't seem to be working right now...i don't see how services in the BST section would help right now...those guys must be losing money right now...

and i don't wish this on them, those guys are hard workers and they do a great job, but in this atmosphere, its hard to know where to start...

Anything you do yourself is bad according to those guys. They are living in another planet :d

Almost nothing is about your content or backlinks anymore. They are caring about forcing more people to use adwords. That is what i am observing. So they are pushing up big sites, pushing down the rest.
