Hi,

I wonder if changing permalink (domain/title) to (domain/category/title) will remove previous backlinks? How about if using 301 redirect to fix broken link? Is it still consider as backlinks?

what the effect to root domain..still get weight?

Since new update my traffic drops but my articles unique and quality but maybe the backlinks cause it.

This is the last thing i want to if in 2 or 3 weeks nothing changes to my site serp.

Dammit big G..

If You change the permalink then all juice (or anti juice!) should be lost. If you set a 301 redirect then nearly all of it should carry over.

Google does say to remove spammy backlinks, so this could be one way if you are sure its the links. But are how many 'good' backlinks might you lose? (if you have any?)

So that is mean it is better not to use redirect right? but the juice will lost...and but there is no juice for this backlink anymore since the 'BS Penguin Update'..

I use BH 70% WH 30%...

Yes, i'm not sure too, need to try. I also consider not to do 301. I like the domain just wonder the root domain is still penalty?...already have more then 200 pages right now...

It was a good way to do it before. Not sure would it work now.I wouldn't do 301.

It may be better to change whole domain. Do not 301 old to new domain.

Thats what i was wondering. Even if you remove pages that are linked to, does it still have the 'history' of those links going to your domain? Because the links are still there and pointing to your domain, but now at a 404 page.

Maybe the penalty 'history' for the domain only lasting for several month? After the 404 page deindex...?
