Workaround for facebook needing a phone number.

I do not want Facebook to have my sensitive info, but insofar I cannot get any web/computer based texts to work. Seems that FB has gotten more evil, no?

Any ideas?
And before someone asks(despite the warning at the top of the forum) I cannot pay for anything.
