Have you survived this penalty? Well so have I (on some websites)! Time to share your success. This way, we can compare what you are doing to what has been done in this thread and see why your website is ranking, and why others aren't. This is especially useful if, like me, you have some websites that are ranking and some that aren't. So, let the surveying begin! Only post in here about websites that survived the update!

12. Describe your backlinking strategy. E.g. "I create 5 web 2.0's. I then create 10 articles and link them to the web 2.0's. I then blast the articles with 10k scrapebox blast, and bookmark the web 2.0's 5 times each. I ping all of the links. I also use a private blog network, and I drip feed 5 posts every 3 days. I use spun content in my articles/properties. I create the properties/articles manually. I bookmark the properties manually."

Gotta love the spirit of this thread, but right know im gonna rest for 2-3 days and chill. Continue to do my backlinks as before and adding content, then i will check my rankings. If they are still dropped i guess i'll come back here and do some reading

White had mostly, besides a few links that have been built to it.

Not many, its an ecommerce site. Probably about 5-10.

Yep, new products are getting added every week.

Nope

7. Do you use spun content in your backlinks?
Yes

Honestly can't remember.

9. Does your website have spun content on it?
Nope

10. Has the root domain benefited?
Yes

11. Describe any updates to your rankings.
The website has a general upward trend. Nothing drastic today.

12. Describe your backlinking strategy.
I have used Black Hole SEO on 2 keywords. I did it for 2 weeks. I also did a few link pushes for a couple of keywords.

13. Any other relevant comments
Nothing I can think of for now. A lot of pages are ranking by onsite SEO on their own. The pages ranking are low in content, they list products.

7. Do you use spun content in your backlinks? - Slightly, I used the service Vitamin D which I believe does use some spun content
8. What is the keyword density in links linking back to your money site? Probably about 40%. 95% of my anchors contain this name (it's a fitness guys name)

10. Has only the root domain been hit? It's only a root domain
11. Describe the penalty you have received. No Penalty - got lucky?
12. Describe your backlinking strategy. It's kinda hard. I hadn't touched the site in 6 months until like 2-3 weeks ago. A year ago I blasted it with all kinds of crap, direct Xrumer, various services .etc.
2-3 weeks ago I ordered the service off here, Vitamin D. It's very diverse (I'm not affiliated with them). I then got my reports, and blasted the shit out of it using BlackHatLinks.com. It jumped from no-where (#150ish I think) to dancing around #1-3. It's been doing that for the last 2-3 weeks. I'm yet to be slapped in this update. I also bought a social bookmarking service (forget the name) that used AI to vary the anchor text. I think diversity saved me.
13. Any other relevant comments - Yeah, my site had Analytics installed. My site is for a roughly 100k exact term (it varies every month), anyway, I now get around 500 hits a day by search traffic. Due to the viral nature of my site though, I was already getting 300 hits a day via direct and referral traffic. I would imagine this also meant I had plenty of *real* links getting built pointing to my site. My site is basically what Google wants, it just needed a BH push.
