Hi John,

Can you please send me a ranking report for my terms? Also, I think I had read somewhere in the thread that there's a site where I can login and check the rankings. Can you please point me to it?

All orders will receive a rank report via email the following Friday. We no longer give backend reports. If you do not receive your rank report via email, first check your spam folder, or you can send me another email for me to add to the report.

Just placed an order for 10 kw. tid **********485930E

Look forward to results :)

Thanks

Received. Look forward to working with you!

Hi John,

I'd like to order. I've sent you a PM with some questions. Thanks.

I just signed up for John's services last week and will be sure to post my rankings once I receive my first report. John seems to know what he is doing and always readily available which is huge! I am really excited to see how well this does for my site.

One month update

Keyword 1 - Not ranked - After one month - No Change
Keyword 2 - Not ranked - After one month - No Change
Keyword 3 - Not ranked - After one month - No Change
Keyword 4 - Not ranked - After one month - No Change
Keyword 5 - Not ranked - After one month - No Change

Not too thrilled with first month results. Was honestly expecting some changes. But still, have 2 more months to go so hopefully would see some positive changes this month. C'mon john, let's put this in high gear and work your magic. :)

First, your site is pretty much brand new. New sites keywords can take longer to index. Once the terms index they will start to move faster. We processed this order on the 28th of March, takes 5 days to build accounts. This means we have only been link building for roughly 22 days. I am looking at the link grids, and we are definitely building links. Remember, we are not just blasting links to people's sites any longer. We are building them slow and steady. Being a new site you do not want to set off any red flags with Google.

Please be patient. If after 45-60 days of link building we are not seeing any terms indexing then there may be an issue. After less than 30 days is not a good barometer.

Yes, we have seen quite a few clients get hit by these updates. I don't think any SEO service was immune to this recent change since it was such a 180 by Google. Basically, Google changed the game, and is now saying that they want little to no SEO at all on your sites. What we are seeing so far is if you have a large link profile made up of mostly low level, irrelevant links, you site got nailed. If your site had a clean link profile or no link profile hardly at all, your site improved. When I analyze my clients sites who lost rankings, many of them have a huge amount of dead links. Most are 50%+. SO there seems to be a correlation between Google dumping links, and the loss of rankings (duh). Now this is just a generalization, because I am seeing many white hat authority sites getting nailed, and some complete junk on the first page results. So a lot of this still does not make sense. Again this is just an observation, and it is still early. I can't see Google keeping the current SERPs at the moment. They are probably the worst I have ever seen.

So the issue here is, you used to be able to gain rankings by throwing tons of links at your sites. So 99% of the people on this forum, and other IM forums, used the same old strategies. It's the same mentality that many people on this forum have. They jump from service to service, trying to see what the flavor of the month is, throwing tons and tons of links at their sites. Not that this is bad because it worked for a long time. Google used to only devalue links, not penalize the webmaster for them. Well, now the game has certainly changed.

All this being said, as mentioned previously we have already changed our strategies at the end of March to combat these changes. We saw the writing on the wall in January and started testing our new methods then. We tested on 20 websites and results have been great. We have moved over to only niche specific, and category specific relevant link building, as well as added more social factors. We are building the links more slowly, so we don't raise any red flags with Google and keep the link velocity as natural as possible. Those clients who have clean link profiles, with the new strategies all moved up yesterday.

Unfortunately, this is the new Google. We all have to adapt and play by their rules. The days of blasting crap links to your site with 10 different services are over. We now have to choose our SEO strategies wisely.

Impressed with your response to the changes. I'm gonna need you to make me enough money to buy your company when you retire from SEO. Thanks in advance :p

Well this hasn't been easy. Lot's of nights carrying a bottle of Jack, and lots of WTFs??? This recent algo change has certainly affected a lot of people's livelihoods. The fact that one company has so much control is a bit disturbing. One flick of a switch and Google could single handedly throw the economy into a depression (this is a joke, but would not surprise me). This is certainly a paradigm shift, if it stays this way. But this is SEO for you. It is constantly changing and if we want to survive we have to adapt. Adapt or die, as they say.

Thanks for the update John. To tell you the truth I've been freaking out since Monday as the site I have with you is pretty white hat and has been around for a while and despite of this we took a horrible nose dive. I think we are going to have to change the keywords we are targeting a bit since they all seem to have been hit. The site hasn't been de-indexed but we certainly fell from grace; so-to-speak. I'll hit u up later on today.

Sounds good. I will be here.

hi OP,

I would like to ask if all the 10 keywords will hit #1 at a max of 3 months?
(maybe it's answered on some posts, but did not read all 17 pages..)

thanks,

3 months is for significant ranking improvement only but not for #1.
