Look at the link profile in whatever tool you use. Lots of very good links pointing to that site.

This is bull shit, if off-page SEO is dead how the hell is this guy ranking #1? Google fucked up hard with their over optimization penalty... looks like the guy that was #1 before is gone, he must be pissed. You should be able to report shit like this to Google so they can fix their stupid mistakes... and they're supposed to be improving search results for users my ass.
 
G is using an old algo now, or aspects of it... this should be called the Zombie update. Lots of sites have been brought back from the dead.

They are up to something, and are either going to build on this new algo to get rid of sites like that blogspot site, or someone really fucked up.
 
That is an old blog that I still have bookmarks too when I first learned what adsense was a few years ago. i guess I can delete the bookmarks now.

I wonder where he is now? I know who it was and he has taken his more public how to make money online stuff down and is mostly private now.

I am sure he is or has read this thread.

This search result was posted in google webmaster blog, and now I find that site is removed. i ranked in the first page for make money online, earn money online and earn online money and several related terms.. I now rank number one only for 'earn online money' that too because of a partial match domain.. but it is widely oscillating over the past few days. I think google is doing this for getting more adwords income.
 
The SERP for "make money online" seems to be just fine now.
